  • Key Ability Explanations

    • Rage: This is an ability specific to Maedoc's sub-race, thought to be a "blessing" from the mountain god himself. Rage is generally a breaking point for his kind, and this is the result. Throwing the "victim" (i.e. the person experiencing this) into a fit of anger that causes them to lash out on the trigger and just about anything or anyone that dares stand in their way. Depending on the level of rage the victim is in, they will act and react differently. Someone in a low rage will hit harder and generally act more aggressively overall. Someone in high rage is more prone to lash out very violently causing severe injury and can even kill the trigger or other victims. At the same time, rage levels are also genetically swayed. Thanks to Maedoc's lineage he is more likely to be extremely aggressive in a rage-induced state. His overall strength and raw power are unleashed and he has little gauge for pain. Basically, you could shiv the guy and just piss him off more while he's beating you to a pulp. However, rage is not easily induced for one, especially for Maedoc. He is fully aware of his strength and abilities when thrown into that state and tries to avoid it as much as he can. So very rarely does he enter such a set of mind, when he does reach a moment of near disassociation from his anger it's incredibly hard, if not impossible, to stop him until the damage is done. Thus, he generally tries to be incredibly very level-headed and calm throughout almost any situation.
    • Strength: Back to the "blessings" of Maedoc's sub-race again! Strength is a status gauge in their society, generally the stronger you are the farther you'll go. They depend heavily on pure strength and size to push their way around, and Maedoc is a good example of this in practice. Compared to most normal humans, he is outstandingly massive, in turn, he hits extremely hard. With enough force, he can easily break noses and dislocate jaws, all with minimal damage to himself, but there can be some received damage simply from the contact. His raw strength also translates into everyday tasks, Maedoc is physically able to carry more, move more, and break more than the average guy- and even the strongest men. This explains why most compare his strength to oxen, as he is able to do a little less than such a beast.
    • Swordplay: This is very much a result of Maedoc's birth rights, as a prince of his country (which is heavily influenced by strength and combat) he was taught by sword masters. Men and women who excel in the use of swords and other weapons. His training started at the age of 8 years old, it has never truly ended either. However, by age 18 his lessons became less frequent.
