Personality: Quiet, often subservient, keenly aware of her station in life, and yet, not so experienced yet that she won't make mistakes. She is hard-working, oftentimes soft-spoken, and far more curious than is goodly. People tend to overlook her because she is so small and quiet, so she sees and hears more than most people notice. She lacks formal education but is by no means stupid... when given the opportunity, she learns very quickly.

Katherine grew up in her Master's home, the daughter of the cook and a man who'd done gardening on the estate at one time. It was considered inevidable that her life would be focused on the service of the Family who had always fairly employed her mother. And, surely enough, the loyalty of her family to theirs would eventually guide her into service of them as well. The master of the house took particular interest in her as she grew older, and conscripted her to his service as a personal handmaiden when she came of age.

A life of service can be a hard one, but Katherine has never complained about the way her life turned out, nor does she long for anything more. She is loyal and devoted to her Employer, she cares for him deeply, perhaps more so then is entirely proper considering her station in life.
