• The Templar

  Hughes is a tall man with a slender build. Don't let that fool you; he is nothing but muscle and power given to him from his Angelic bloodline. His body is a weapon, honed from his many years of swordplay and battle. His hair is raven colored and falls somewhere below his buttocks while his eye is green; the right one was lost many years ago when the world turned sour on the Knight's Templar. His skin is pale currently, but was once deeply tanned from his time in the Holy Land during the Crusades and has the tendency to become so again should he be outside for long periods of time. He wear a permanent scowl and a crude patch over his lost eye.
  
  His clothing tends to be outdated; he still enjoys the feel of a tunic and mantle but he receives quite a lot of looks when in this clothing. He will usually resort to shirt with high collars, breeches and riding boots when it is necessary to go out into public. He tries to always have his sword at his side, hung from his belt. He still owns and maintains his Templar's sword; it is a two-handed blade with a curved guard covered in ornate knotting, a rounded grip and a circle containing the cross as the pummel. The Knight's Templar's seal rests in the middle of the grip.

• Crusader

  Born in the year 1080 of a daughter of man and a son of God in Britain. In other words, Avery is the offspring of an Angel and a human woman and therefore is a Nephilim. This union of bloods has granted him a long life, as he is nearly 1,000 years of age and still young and vibrant looking. He joined the Knight's Templar around the year 1145, having already lived a long time for the period yet still looking not a day out of his twenties. He fought for the Holy Land until the place was lost and the world began to look unfavorably on the Templar at the spurring of Phillip IV of France. When the Order was officially disbanded in 1312, Hughes was a 232 year old man, having kept his true age hidden by moving from sect to sect. He was hunted down by the French, who had been torturing and burning his fellows at the stake by the King's orders. He was caught once, while sleeping on a farmland and hoping to be shrouded by the sheep. He escaped with his life, but lost his right eye to his captors.
  
  He found solace in Portugul whose King decreed the Templar not be persecuted and from there his life is somewhat a mystery. He became a drifter for many of his hundreds of years. He showed his face in other battles, usually on the losing side; Nephilim have a wonderful knack of carrying bad luck with them. To this day, he seeks war, to be a part of the glory of battle and the triumph over a foe. As weaponry became more modern, his appearances became more scarce, yet he always find his way into the disputes of the world. Throughout history he can be found in army's across Europe, each time in a different uniform, but always the same.
