Bloodline

Arias is an island located in the southern ocean off the coast of Drakoria. It is roughly a week's journey from any one of the islands to the main land due to unusually rough seas. In fact, these unusually rough seas surround Arias, broken up only by large underwater formations and reefs that extend far beyond Arias' shores. It is thought that an incredibly strong astrological force, such as a meteor, struck the area long ago, lowering it enough to allow the ocean to flood inside. These reefs and underwater mountains create a barrier around the chain of islands, allowing the citizens of Arias to live with relative ease and peace.

There are four main Islands, each one of them with their own sets of rules, people, exports, and customs. There is not a lot that variest through Arias, but it is a land of rich and vibrant history, despite the fact there has been little travel outside of the Island chain. Main methods of transportation are sea based. Large rivers and channel exist through each island, connecting them each to the salt water, while fresh water is obtained through rain and equally large lakes that scatter across the islands. The largest of the islands, Blackfang Island is roughly 200 miles (321 km) across, making travel somewhat difficult.

For the most part, each island shares a similar climate. There are four defined seasons which are dominated by winter and summer, each of which last approximately 5 months. Spring and fall are times of rapid climate changes and shifts, usually the only time in which daylight is completely even. Arias is south enough that during the winter months, the sun rises exceptionally late, and during the summer months there are up to 20 hours of daylight. The winters averages about 0 degrees Fahrenheit (-18 degree Celsius), but can drop lower. Snow is not uncommon. Summers are far more mild, and warm summer days can reach between 68-77 degrees Fahrenheit (20-25 degrees Celsius).

House Deimos

The ruling clan of Arias for the past centuries. House Deimos has primarily been made up of larger cats, especially tigers, and it is rumored these tigers were the first to settle the Island long ago. They are a powerful clan known for their military prowess, and as expected of any that would live in this area, they are exceptionally skilled at naval based combat.Despite Arias being the main island for House Deimos, it is well known that their naval forced patrol the oceans around their home, and many smaller islands swear fealty to their rulers.
