  • Disaster

    Journal...
    
    
    I know other people can’t see my writing and this is perhaps useless in me writing, but these last few days have been tiresome, a massive earthquake hit the tether just a few days ago, yet ramifications of the aftershocks still traumatize the island. Thankfully my friends got out of the building unscathed and they were able to avoid the drama happening on the beach. I made a few more acquaintances. Azzaroth had a few troubles after we escaped the tether and got onto the beach, before the tsunami hit; out of everyone I seemed to be the only one able to calm him down, once we got out...but the man people call English, was still inside helping the others escape, I’m sure he would have been more successful in calming him than me. When he finally arrived, I remained unnoticed, well...no, that’s not true more like ignored. Thankfully Azzaroth, Koda, Cayne, and my new friends are unharmed.

    God...if there is truly a god...I know it is rather sinful and selfish of me to want that man to notice me, think of me, but I can’t help it. Before things started shaking that night, Koda jumped into his arms and kissed him! I felt...jealous? I think that’s the word. People are still in panic, but I so desperately want him to notice me and perhaps even ki..ki...kiss me. I’m sure this will never happen; though as the people whom I wish to share myself with always seem to leave me.
    I still wonder if Anya thinks of me, though I highly doubt it. I’ve been desperately seeking her out, yet I’ve been unable to find her, meaning she is most likely with others, smiling and possibly even happy. I promised to grow old with her, to always be by her side and though I noticed her on the beach during the evacuation, she didn’t even seem to be looking for anyone else; once again this is overly selfish of me...
    
    I am just so tired...of being all alone.

  • Ink Blot

    Scribbles could be seen, crossing and lopping around old words as if to erase them out of existence, ink blots darkening the paper
    
    This will be short, I woke up this morning and the nightmare was over. Blood still was splattered throughout the walls, like always, but my left eye didn’t itch anymore, it didn’t burn. Am I back to 'normal'? I don’t know, I have still been unable to track down a mirror and remove the white cloth covering my face.

  • Farewell, but not goodbye

    Pages lay scattered across stone slabs that formed walk ways, large trees whistling a lonely tune as massive roots entangled scraps of paper; paper looked like nothing out of the usual, simply as if they belonged in a dairy and had been for some reason ripped out; upon further inspection reveals the pages, blank.

    
    It seems as though one of the house slaves has discovered my secret, most likely the one that has watched me write on these once binded pieces of paper. It was most likely an accident, the garden must have been receiving a cleaning and as dead leaves were removed from underneath this willows roots, it was found. The precious piece of material that contains all my thoughts, written so all eyes may see. Sadly, it is not that simple as the papers are blank for they are not written with ink, rather the blood that hangs around me, my little secret.
    
    The other night I met a woman, I can happily say that she was about to pummel me, as I was rather hyper that night and was bouncing of the walls, literally. I stopped and started to behave once she asked me to sing, after which he told me of an island, one that apparently needs my help. She looked concerned, but tried her hardest to remain standoffish and very much a bully. She will be leaving in a months’ time and I have decided to go with her. I have never been off of this island; I’ve been here as far back as I can remember.
    
    This is where I met Pavo, Anya, English and so many other people over the years; I have been knocked off my feet by them and have had my most special treasure seized from me and thrown into the ocean below in a completely failed attempt at getting approval. Last but not least, I have once again started to like someone, this time a monster and though I don’t understand these feelings in the least, I will try my hardest to remain by his side...so the loneliness doesn’t haunt me, I need to talk to him, I still want to know the answer to why my body becomes so hot around him.
    
    I hope that I am able to see the little swan that has grown up to fast before I leave, if not maybe after I come back. I don’t know. I am allowed to come and go as I please, I am going by boat, I don’t know how fast they are, as I have never been on one, so I don’t know how long it will take us to get to the new island.
    
    I will be back, Tether...

  • Remember?

    One day, I suddenly awoke from what seemed like a long tiring sleep, was I possibly in a coma? I felt older; as if years had been piling on whilst I was dreaming. It was a strange dream, I dreamt that I had been left and forgotten by Pavo, that months later I had fallen in love with a swan and in all my angst I rebelled hard against fate, that girl’s fate. Yet, she had slowly began turning away from me, no matter how many times I pleaded and cry, her small yet firm hand let go. I dreamt that I had met other murderers and demons, angels and felines that showed me nothing but a gentle type of love. It feels like I am forgetting something, was it all a dream? It seems too real, but my left eye now burns, and when I had quickly tracked down a mirror…my eye was no longer my own. It was pink and red, a black cat-like slit for a pupil. What has happened to me? My heart feels weak; I’m breathing heavily and wearing clothes that I don’t remember ever buying. My hair is long, almost too long and neatly brushed, yet I don’t own one. I wonder if I am still dreaming, yes maybe that’s it. I’m stuck in a dream that will never end.

    Ghosts keep calling my name...whispering to me, telling me of happier times. Times that even now I simply can’t remember. How long has it been...since I’ve heard your name mentioned...your name, I can’t remember, your face tugging at the strings that secretly bind my fingers. I don’t remember you. Truth be told, I’m afraid to even try. The eye that is not even my own, burns causing points of pain-like a hot dagger scraping across my skin. I think I saw you the other day. I had jumped on some male, grasping his head in my hands and called him ‘beautiful’. I don’t usually do that, so why? Why now. You left quickly...i didn’t even have time to ask your name.
    You showed me the stunning pictures the male had created...i believe his name was Marcel. It sounds familiar, his name that is. Tears welled up in my eyes, as you left, I wanted to follow you. Something invisible pulling me, but I just sat there, frowning. I think I once made you a promise. My heart, tells me these strange things but my brain just can’t think of those times, like they were deleted.
    I hope you forgive me, next time we meet. I’ll smile and give you something; if I’m able to find some fabric, maybe a dress? Would you enjoy that, would you smile?
    
    
    The promise...is that I would never leave...

    "I don't really understand"
    
    This entry will be short, for I am still shaken yet enthralled at the same time. We were both stunned, the monster and I. He slide his hands from my shoulders down to my legs, I felt hot. I don’t understand. Was it because of the fire? No one had ever touched me like that before; it was gentle yet harsh at the same time. Like a lion, lavishing his prey before devouring it, I wanted to wince at his touch, but just as suddenly as I received his touch, he got up and walked off, dragging his coat behind him. I just sat there, as if I had been engulfed by his presence to the point of death, I have never had this emotion before. Dare I say I yearn for his company, the smell of blood that dances around him? The thrill of it still has my heart beating.

    It is selfish for me to complain? You hugged me tight and told me you simply could not love, anymore. The white swan and your old master, you loved them both so much, they hurt you so badly, they broke their promises and I know how much that hurts. I still think of my first love and how much, how badly I loved him but, he was taken away from me. Stolen and I promised myself never to let myself be vulnerable ever again, then I met you. I smile every time I see you. I even met your new master, in order to establish good will, it failed miserably, I got angry in front of you. I collapsed but wouldn’t allow myself to cry. My parents once told me a long long time ago that I would have many lives and many experiences, something went wrong though and I don’t remember any of my past lives. I would give up my blood for you; I would gladly turn to the shadows and let them rip me apart. Little swan, do you not understand? We are all monsters. This monster, the monster in me she loves you and will never forget you nor betray you. How many promises will I have to make before you finally see I have been standing right in front of you this whole time, with arms wide open.

    I have had an austere existence, barely making it through some tough times. Times I can’t remember. Times I wish with all my being had some significance in my mind, times that I could recall; moments, emotions, thoughts that could still be held even if they were just barely out of my reach, right in front of my finger-tips, the nerves right under my skin only brushing against them, the tingling sensation of those moment, and emotions casting judgment over me, filling me with the very essence of what I once had.
    
    The only thing I remember, my father, my mother and that I have committed heinous crimes. Blood still follows me, staining my feathers, carrying that pungent rustic smell around as it trails behind me, the ironic thing? I’m the only one whom can smell it, see it, taste it, and feel it...maybe that’s why I do not dress myself, I fear that the blood will become visible and stain the pretty things that I wear – that maybe I will be labeled as a murderer.
    
    I do not understand so many things, emotions included; so I façade myself in sheep’s clothing. It is not that I am not innocent or naïve, because “God” knows I am.
