Defensive/Offensive: His weapons of choice include a Webley-Kaufmann .455 calibre double action revolver, a blackthorn walking-stick, fencing proficiency, and "anything behind my workbench that's suitably annoying. Nitric acid or ferric chloride to your eyes will ruin your whole day." He also hasn't been above crafting walking-sticks with hidden blades or guns, on less-than-reputable commission.

Dexterity: Flourish and sleight-of-hand come easily to one who has grown up as an illusionist's assistant. This dexterity has also lent itself to slightly more unsavoury things he'd be less keen on admitting to polite company, including lock-picking.

Artist: While he'd consider himself more of a tinkerer and a craftsman, he does have an almost omnipresent sketchbook, and he's a fairly decent hand with a pen or charcoal.

Books and Journals: He keeps a regular journal; more noteworthy is his possession of many books about medical science and closely-guarded journals, only labelled with "M.H."
