• Personality

  Reklen has an upbeat attitude more often than not. He usually can be heard humming or whistling to himself, and a smile is almost always on his lips. He tries to have a "glass half full" outlook when it comes to the trials of life. Despite seeming that he can't take most things seriously, that is quite the opposite. When the situation calls, Reklen becomes a different person, quiet, serious, and somewhat aloof. But those moments tend to fade as fast as they began, reverting the tabby to his typical bouncy, playful self. He also takes his responsibilities at his temple to heart, though there he can only restrain his antics to a point, and will eventually do or say something to annoy one of the temple's masters.

• Abilities

  Reklen has all of the abilities and skills typical to a warrior monk. His body has been honed in the martial arts and he is near the peak of dexterity and agility. Like other skilled monks from his monastery, he can harness his chi into his body to strengthen attacks, or fire it like a projectile composed of pure energy. Unlike his fellows however, he also can change the properties of his chi to create fire, water, earth, or air (ironic as the monks, along with spirit, consider these to be the five pillars of creation). Reklen can only channel one element at a time, and doing so changes his hair color. It is believed by the masters that are aware of Reklen's background that this ability stems from Reklen's father, who was a powerful mage. Gareln tried his best to help Reklen nurture his powers, but as the bear knows nothing of magic, there was a limit he could teach.
  
  Reklen has yet to master the ability to charge his chi with positive or negative energy. Positive chi is a boon to the living and the holy, healing wounds and offering protection, while damaging undead or evil creatures. Likewise, negative chi is the polar opposite. Many monks never are able to perform this, although Reklen has already shown the ability. However, he currently can only merely focus positive or negative energy into his chi; he is incapable of producing any real effect.
  
  The only way for Reklen to reach his full potential is by learning magical theory. He does not need to learn or study any actual spells, he just needs to know how spells work. Once he has learned this, he will be able to channel multiple elements at once, in addition to being able to manipulate his surrounding environment through the use of such elements. It will also allow him create and control wood and metal (products of earth), lightning (air/fire combo), and ice (another form of water). In addition, Reklen would be able to focus pure arcane energy into his chi, creating small spell-like effects. However, he is oblivious to the fact that he has the potential to do any of these things, nor does he know how to unlock them.
