  Tove grew up in a proud family of Nords in the crowded city of Markarth. The family of four lived in a house too small for them all, but they made due. This was until her father was wrongly accused of murder and sent to work in the mines for the rest of his life as a punishment.
  
  Her mother, unable to support the family and unable to cope with the loss of her husband, resorted to a skooma addiction that put the family even more in debt. Eventually, her mother couldn't pay for her addiction either and ended up selling off Tove and her younger brother to separate men who wanted to "play" with them.
  
  For three years Tove endured the pain and humiliation of being abused by these men until finally she got her hands on a dagger and, in the dead of night, wiped out every last man in the building before she ran away from Markarth. Being only sixteen, she was too young to really know what she would do. But she ran all the way across the Province and by the time she made it to Windhelm, she was half dead.
  
  A kind woman took her in and cared for her, and Tove still lives with this old woman to this day, killing people for money so she can support the two of them. Tove is also on the hunt for her brother and has recently caught wind that he is being held in an underground operation going on in Riften.
