The Pack

Anything less than Sentinel doesn't have the pleasure or grace of being ranked.
These are the pack workers, grunts, pawns, meat-shields or whatever you may want to call them; they are plentiful, disposable, often less than average intellect, but not without their useful quirks. They are most notably dangerous in numbers especially if there is a Beta present to rally them.

Typically of the mutated verity; Sentinels can become much bigger and be vastly stronger than studies have managed to observe.

Nicknamed 'brutes' for their notable, and dangerous, size and power but lacking any team mentality. They will often go solo or in small packs of 2-3. They're not known for their intelligence but their chaotic and random behaviour make them formidable and dangerously unpredictable.

Some packs we've monitored; we've noticed that Sentinels have a chance of succeeding to overthrow the alpha. Of the rare occasions this happens, they can have the ability to lead the pack successfully.

The Alpha's right hand and trusty scouts. They defend the established pack parameters while a hunt is in effect. Don't let their 'low ranks' fool you; those within this rank are typically as large and powerful as brutes.

Second in command and plenty within the pack at the Alpha's disposal. Studies have shown that Betas will typically lead a hunt consisting of 2-5 lessers and on rare occasion, allow a Sentinel to accompany them.

Betas are something like battle counsellors; they have immense fighting and hunting experience and their tactics for getting something done were not to be taken lightly. Just like Deltas, they will protect the pack as well, even going as far as self-destructive measures as long as the threat is neutralized.

Hypothetically speaking, we believe only one alpha controls the pack but there have been no confirmed sightings of a creature that would clearly be an alpha. It's believed that the alpha will seldom come out to lead a hunt, however, due to the alpha's experience the prey likely doesn't have a chance of escape.

The alpha may be of higher intelligence than his fellow packmates and is also the only one with breeding rights.
