  • Personality: Brave, observant, resourceful, kind when she can be, though she doesn't let people walk all over her either. Hard working but frightened of commitment and close personal attachments due to her paranoia of losing what she has. Fairly intelligent, but was never studious in school, she found reading from textbooks unenthusing, much preferring to visit places herself, and learn from experience. She doesn't like to be still, she spends her life traveling and on the move to keep the heaviness at bay.

• Bio

  Caity's life was normal by most accounts while she was growing up. She enjoyed moderate popularity in school, excelled in sports, and made average grades despite not applying herself all that much in her classes. She had a loving family consisting of a Mother a Father and a sister four years older than herself, all of them good-natured church going folk who prided themselves on being seen as upstanding community members.
  
  When Caity was fourteen that would all change. While out with her friends at a movie, she met a guy. An older man in his mid-twenties who lavished her with attention and praise, and treated her like an adult instead of the child she was. She was enthralled by his attention and soon found herself in a relationship that was far too serious and dangerous for someone her age. Her parents were understandably concerned.
  
  They saw her charismatic handsome boyfriend for what he was, an older sexual predator who was grooming their daughter for god knows what. They told her as much, and after a long, tearful screaming match, Caity escaped out her window and ran right to the man who her parents so desperately didn't want her to see. She told him everything about what they said. After consoling her he sent her home, promising her that nothing would keep them apart. In the hours that followed, while Caity slept in her room, her Boyfriend broke into the O'Duinn House.
  
  Caity woke to the sounds of screaming and blearily followed the houses out into the hall. What she saw would be burned into her brain like a scar for the remainder of her life. Her Boyfriend standing over the bodies of her mother and Father, their throats slit and their bodies stabbed too many times to count. Greg just smiled up at her, their blood staining his face and hands, and proclaimed again that nothing would keep them apart.
  
  If that wasn't bad enough, her sister chose that moment to try to escape her room and flee past them down the stairs. Greg lashed out at her with the knife too, and soon her elder sister joined the pile of bodies in the hall, Greg finally focused his attention on Caity. His professed love and promises that they could be together meant nothing to her now, the magic was gone and she saw him for what he was, a dangerous psychopath. When she didn't accept him with open arms he quickly turned on her as well. He slashed at her as well, and it was only through sheer luck that she was able to escape, using her legs to kick out at him, toppling him down the flight of stairs to the first floor. She then went out her window and to the neighbour's home for help.
  
  Her life would never be the same. She became a pariah in her hometown for her role in the deaths, and her last few years of adolescence was spent as a ward of the state, in and out of group homes and foster care. When she turned 17 she graduated and left home for good, never putting down roots anywhere, and always on the move. Trying to escape the past and drown her demons in the beauty and adventure of travel. Many would say she's running from reality, but, to be fair, it's worked for her so far.
