  Selphieaux, nick-named Selphie, is about the only noteworthy threat in the swamp in which he resides. The separated lakes to himself and the respect and fear of the neighboring townsfolk is enough to keep the naga at bay. 'At bay' from doing what, no one really knows...but the beast-man chooses to let the innocents roll around in their panicked concern and complacent gift bearing.
  
  He can be an altogether passive and unimportant interaction on the way through the swamp...or he can be a force to be reckoned with; whether he's either is solely up to whoever dares to come within five feet of any of him-- whether they mean to, or not.

  Notable Features: Not unusually long, but almost incomprehensibly black, inky locks. When lower half Not visible, appears to be an elf loitering in the swamp waters.

  Earning the distinct nickname, 'Hermit's Whore' is something Selphieaux likes to flaunt. The corresponding plant the name comes from is found in secluded, woodsy areas where town hermits are fabled to live. There's the partially sound assumption that all hermits partake in hallucinogens and other harmful chewing petals; Hermit's Whore, a pale emerald, dainty flower that's found growing atop lake gunk (usually in clusters of three), is one of the strongest hallucinogens of choice and is quite addictive.
  
  Hard to find when actively looking, but easily stumbled upon and consequently almost always partaken in-- it's earned its named over the past thousand years.
