Hello!
I've been roleplaying on and off for slightly more than fifteen years now. At first, I got into it purely out of curiosity, but the writing bug got me good, and eventually my roleplay posts started evolving from casual two-three liners to elaborate multi paragraphs. I've always been reticent about roleplaying in forums, mostly restricting myself to IRC platforms, 3D chat clients which have rich roleplay communities and IMs (Started off with Skype, now it's Discord). I did forum roleplay on multiple occasions in between, but the lack of dynamic interaction and sometimes having to wait for multiple days to get a reply, always managed to drive me off.
But nowadays, I've matured, and I've realized that people have a life (I know, shocking!). So I've mellowed and now actually look forward to well-constructed, well thought-out posts rather than having to deal with half-arsed, hastily put-together posts with more fluff than actual content. So gradually, I've started feeling the appeal of an organized, well-maintained forum to share thoughts and create stories on. I chanced upon this website and loved the look and feel of it, and have decided to give it a try, with eager fingers (hehe) and an open mind!
l look forward to writing with all of you. My inbox is always open for anyone who wants to discuss scenarios, settings, roleplay worlds and characters. Except for steampunk (which is a genre I haven't had to chance to explore much), I am pretty much comfortable with any kind of setting, as prehistoric or futuristic as they may be. If I were to pick up my top three favourite genres (because picking just one is not possible for me), they would be - Medieval fantasy, Modern/Post-modern apocalyptic/dystopian fantasy (realistic or with a hint of paranormal) and might be a little off-beat, the genre of LitRPG/Gamelit/Reincarnation settings.
P.S - I've already posted a setting of my own in the 'Looking for RP' section and I plan to put a few more feelers out there eventually.

Hey there! Welcome to RPR!
A pleasure to have you here! RPRepository is the perfect place to get longer, more thoughtfully crafted responses. I also grew tired of the discord rps that expected immediate responses, frankly for a time I got burnt out. This place really helped me rediscover how much I love roleplaying, and I hope you like it as much as I do!
Hello Silent Sea Shore,
Welcome to RPR!!
Right away, let me say you that you took the right decision, I’ve done that myself too. I maybe not be that avid role player like you, but I sure know that feeling of ‘matureness’.
RPR is full of people who prefer plot writing, discuss about characters and lores, invent worlds and write with passion.
You do have many strings to your bow and will absolutely find writing partners. I would even say, the steampunk community around here is not small, they will eagerly accept any person that wants to learn.
I saw your setting (just saw, I admit not having read all) and it seems really well constructed, those that read this intro should take a look, especially if you like futuristic settings.
Anyway just enjoy the feeling
Lizbeth

Ahh, a fellow roleplayer that had to mellow out, hello! RPR is a great place to make some good friends to write with, one of my closest friendships started here, actually!
If you happen to like Fallout, I doooo have an open add for that, we could see if our writing styles match up for a thread :^D!
Regardless, cheers, welcome to the site!
