I'm a bit late on this post, but i wanted to wish everyone on here a Happy Pride Month! to my trans brothers sisters and siblings, to my gay lesbian bi pan and ect siblings, and all other queer family, happy pride month, you guys are all awesome. to out straight allies, thank you too! your support means alot to us, and we appreciate you. it's been hard for the queer community, and it's scurry, but the community has endured hardship before and will do it again.
i encourage people to learn the history of our community, to learn about our historical strength, and to learn of the most empowering/inspiring stories of our ancestors.(specifically in queer american history: Marsha P Johnson, Sylvia Rivera)

anyway, i don't entirely know if there was much more point to posting this besides wanting to wish everyone a happy and fun safe pride month. feel free to share your stories, queer fun facts, share your fun pride plans, whatever related things you want to share can be posted here(so long as it follows website's rules ofc, obviously<3)

additionally, bc i've seen a lot of confusion about microlables and neo/xeno pronouns online recently: if you have a microlable or use neo/xeno pronouns, or any other other identity you find people don't understand, ect, feel free to explain your pronouns, labels and identities as well! i want this post to have all the best good vibes, and to show each other we have a community around us. i want good energy to for people to know they're not alone while they read this thread<3

my favorite queer fact(s) recently:
-large parts of the gay rights movement in the US was fought by POC trans women / drag queens
-communities like the leather community(which has a TONE of over lap with the queer community already) was also a big role in queer history of the US, particularly during the AIDS epidemic

my identity explanation/story:
mine doesn't feel like it's anything really unheard of at all, it is kinda easy to understand for most i feel? but i feel like if i'm asking people to do this kind of thing in reply to this(if they want to ofc) than i should also show i'm willing to do the same!
my pronouns are he/they, but i also used to use ne/nem neo-pronouns! i still like ne/nem, but i got tired of explaining it to people and most didn't really use them anyway so i kinda stopped😅
i am trans masculine nonbinary, for me this means that i'm not completely male, but definitely not female(my assigned gender at birth), i'm somewhere between trans man and non-binary. ou could compare this to being very similar to the definition of demi-boy. why don't i just use Demi-boy? bc the label never really set right with me. it just didn't fit, saying i'm trans non-binary is the way i most prefer to self identify, and feels most correct!
i'm also pan/omnisexual. i usually just say i'm pan, partly bc i'm still unsure which i am. pan is a label that feels comfortable, but the definition is just slightly off for me. and omnisexual is a label that has a definition that looks correct, but the label doesn't fit quite right. i like anyone and everyone regardless of gender, however i do think gender still plays a role in my attraction, possibly a preference towards men and enby people i explain these two labels for me like a sweater:
pan is like trying on a sweater or hoodie that fits, it's comfortable, over sized, warm, soft, feels perfect. but in the mirror, it doesn't look quite right on me.
omnisexual is a sweater or hoodie that looks great on me, the color compliments my eyes, it makes my form look perfect, i'm glowing in it, but the inner seam and the fabric is itchy and doesn't feel as good as it looks when i wear it.

so yeah, that's me! feel free to share your identities, stories, favorite queer facts, ect in reply to this! love y'all, stay safe, stay queer, i'm proud of you all. Happy Pride Month<3
Ok, even if this is second post for Pride Month, I don’t care, as I participate !!

Even if I do not belong to Queer community as I’m heterosexual (maybe a bit ‘bi’ on the border) but! and I said this already in Just Talking! I support the LGBTQIA+ .
We here had an official gay as Prime Minister from 2013 to 2023, many other European countries have same. My boss, vice-director, is a post-op transgender. And personally I participated here, the same Rainbow Career Day will be held again in October (I’ll be there😉).
My contribution and experience in Queer Community

Just one question, why ‘queer’?
Ethymological that means bizarre, strange. In German it means crooked or askew (not straight). Where does Queer come from?
Fantax - queer was used as strange or weird but then shifted into a derogatory term towards the LGBT+ communities. Now it's a reclaimed word. Much like other offensive words that communities have chosen to take pride in and remove the ammo bigots have tried to give themselves.
Or how to turn weapons into flowers…
Exactly!
