It's been millions of years since humans have died off.
The earth has changed, and so has it's ever growing civilization. It's inhabitants have evolved from the animals once treated as game, and their culture has flourished, now centered on what's known as the "Still Age". War is a thing of the past, only recounted in legends and old story books. Though, something seems to be brewing. A long forgotten clan is returning, and so is their thirst for blood.

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Iron age
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Some romance is possible, but the overall plot is more important.
