I'm not gonna lie, I jumped for joy when I found out we were getting a dark mode.
However, I again won't lie. It still kills my eyes.
I have Irlen Syndrome (and apparently dyslexia too, but the focus is on Irlens here)
In real life or on websites/programs I tend to use a dark background with darker text. My personal preference is black text on dark blue background.
My suggestion is to really just add a theme that is more Irlen Syndrome (and in turn, lots of visual stress, dyslexia, etc sufferers) friendly,
