I tried making a character earlier, used the text widget and the basic info widget specifically but anything I put into them wasn't saving. I'd click to close them but they were blank, empty, however when I click edit, the progress was still there. Tried refreshing, nope. Not sure what the issue is and not sure if this is the place for this, but it's kind of a bit of a major issue.
Your best bet is probably sending in a bug report! 
I ran into this when I was using an older browser. Might be worth trying a different browser or making sure you are on the latest version.
Yeah, I had this problem like a year ago or something. I sent a bug report, and it turned out my browser was outdated. Just update your browser, and it gonna be fine.
