Plot:

part 1 - Era is an abandoned and broken robotic android. She is an outdated model and suffers from having errors with her memory banks. Once reactivated Era will set out to find a place she calls 'The City of Dreams'. She believes that in this city she will find someone to repair her and with luck that someone will be her creator or at least someone that knows where he is.

part 2 - Upon reaching the city Era is repaired, but no one there knows who her creator is exactly or where they are. Since she is such an old machine the repairs do not fix her one hundred percent, but they do fix her most serious problems. Unfortunately much of her data is too corrupted for them to save and so she still has a few blanks in her memory after being fixed. Among the things that are missing is information on her creator's identity and location. Era does know that he is a 'he' and judging by the date and when she last remembered him, he should still be alive, or so she assumes. Era parts company with the one who reactivated her after reaching The City of Dreams. Where she will go from there is unknown.

part 3 - After much searching Era find out that her creator has been dead for many years. She is unable to ask him her questions - such as

Era: "Query: What am I to do now? If I am still functional and my old position is no more where shall I go and what shall I do? What is my purpose now that there are others to do what I once did and who do it far better than I ever could? Is there a reason for me to remain awake or should I go back to sleep?"

Edited as for the moment I'm just focusing on Era going to the City of Dreams and once she gets there I'll decide if I still want to do that rest of the plot I already set up or go a different direction with it.

There is a open RP thread in the Sci-Fi section. It's free for anyone to join in and come or go as they wish. I would usually be open to having more than one version of the story going at once, but I'm in a lot of RPs right now already so if this RP can be kept to the already open thread it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm presuming that Doran is an alien of some kind.
(I am familiar with Doctor Who.)
