These two characters have been lying around inactive for a while now so im looking for someone they can play a comrade, friend, bodyguard... to.
They are obviously made for a sci-fi setting but i would rather not have them in a RP that is set in space. I suppose we can agree on the plot and setting once we choose out the characters but what i had in mind was something action related, themes such as future wars or decaying future earth, post apocalypse... I don't mind even some romance but not as the main focus of the RP.

I've got four sci-fi characters if you're interested.
There's Augustus Terminus, a starship captain in the United Coalition of Planets. He's idealistic, honorable, and accepting of pretty much everything, though he runs a risk of becoming corrupt when given too much power, something that he knows and has made him fearful of rising above his current rank.
Then there's Yuri Bolshevik, an officer in the Imperial Earth Order. He's power-hungry, brutal, and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals or complete the mission. He has been completely indoctrinated by a facsist-communist government that has taken over Earth. Though, sporadically, he has shown signs of compassion.
Then you got Tyrus, an A'Leereean, a xenophobic species that have recently began reaching out to other species in friendship. Tyrus is cold and logical when on the job, which commanding a massive carriership. He doesn't understand emoions displaed by most other life, as his species aren't emotional.
Johnson is the oldest character I have. He is a captain in the United Earth Federation star fleet. He is a hard-nosed and often follows orders to the letter. He dislikes most forms of conflict and will only engaged in battle as a last resort. He is level headed, staying calm in situations that would have most in hysterics, but isn't comfortable in situations that he has no experience with.

Honestly im interested in all four but the only problem i have is that im aware they are part of a setting that revolves around outer space (as far as i understand). I can try to adapt to that but i haven't really done many similar RPs and i prefer my droids to be on a specific planet rather than a spaceship. I can try new stuff though.
Both my characters are such that they could be on any of the conflicted sides. Zepttyl is extremely naive and doesn't have the basic idea of whats right and wrong so he will side with anyone as long as they are good to him personally. Zettal was in various wars and somewhere along the way he stopped believing in his original ideals so at this point he would just be living passively executing orders and fighting for someone elses sake.
Also, would our characters be acting as allies, enemies, equal in rank or would one answer to the other?
They can easily be adapted to being on a planet, unless you want to go in space. The roleplay could start off in space before moving onto a planet. (Ex. Ship crashes, or deployment as soldiers for a planetary invasion). As for their standings with one another, Augustus and Johnson would probably befriend them, Tyrus would ally with them, but on if it is required for his survival or the survival of others, and Yuri would most likely manipulate them for his own purposes. As for them being equal or subservient to one another, it would probably be equal, unless the androids have become members or one of the organizations that one of my characters are affiliated with.

Alright... so i have a random idea. Maybe if a ship malfunctioned and ended up on some kind of small planet that was once populated but is now just a mass of rock and ruins buried in sand. The place could have been changed by wars and slowly abandoned, or perhaps made uninhabitable by some catastrophe, either natural or otherwise. The place would be full of bones, badly damaged machines and similar things, those would all be remains of whoever didn't manage to leave.
Maybe people could have been sent there without a way to escape or call for help as punishment after it became such a dry hellish place. Or maybe the planet ended up such that landing on it and getting off it is difficult and establishing a connection and communicating is almost impossible.
Either way, the ship that crashes there has to either get fixed with what it has and what can be found on the planet or wait for help to come. This would take some time and that's when our characters could meet, mine being two old machines that are either wondering around the planet or laying somewhere inactive and yours being part of the ships crew?
Like i mentioned it's just a random idea but i though i might as well go ahead and mention it. Once again i haven't done many things with spaceships and different planets and such so i might have just explained something that isn't logical or possible so sorry if that's the case.
If you don't like this we can think of something else ofcourse

Do you have an idea who you would like to use in such a situation? I'm alright with any of the four characters you offered previously so i wouldn't mind either choosing one or letting you decide.
Also do you prefer to do the RP in the forums or through messages?
I think I would like to use Augustus for this, and it doesn't matter to me if it's on the forums or PMs.

Alright then
I was being a bit impatient so i went ahead and wrote the first post i doubt it will have much influence since it doesn't contain any specific action, either way i hope you don't mind. I think we figured out everything we need to start and we can decide on some things as we continue, also i can chance anything is needed.
Also i chose PM over forum mostly because i didn't have any ideas for a name for the RP.
