So I had this idea after I created a mean looking character today. I'll post a blurb from the bio below. It describes the scenario pretty well. Basically, I am looking for people to rule alongside with. Lets get cruel! I started this to get away from my typical nice guy style of writing, sort of like a challenge. I'm open to as many players as are interested. 1 on 1 works too. I'm up for ideas and suggestions as well. Anyone who knows my writing style knows I stress fun, imagination and creativity as the top priorities. I hope this sounds as interesting to someone as it did when I first had the initial idea.

Okay, here is the background I came up with in Helios's bio.

"The Vangazi were a tribe of elves, which had forged a massive alliance over centuries. Many races fought alongside them. Many more had fought against them. Their most recent conflict was with the people of the Tharafen Society. A ten year war had been fought. The Tharafen had recently been defeated. Their best warriors had long since been laid to rest. The will to fight had been broken.

They had accepted total surrender. Uprisings and rebellions were sure to spring up from time to time. But the majority of the population were at the hands of the Vangazi. Raiding parties were an everyday occurrence. The Tharafen citizens, although not considered slaves, worked arduous hours stripping their lands of natural resources. Vangazi wagon trains were loaded up every hour of daylight and were pulled off by charger horses. Tall ships at the docks loaded up these resources and shipped them throughout the Empire.

The land was a playground for the elite class of the Vangazi. They imposed their cruel edicts as payback for thousands of casualties over the past decade. The land would be used until the last ores were stripped, the last tree had been fallen and the last house had been thieved of its possessions.

Helios himself was no general. He did not lead armies during the ten year war. Instead he was a politician, campaigning for units and supplies to be sent to the Tharafen theater of operations. He was just one prince of many serving The Emperor, a ruler that stayed invisible and behind closed doors. Some said he did not exist, that he was just the amalgam of the wishes of a secret society. Others swore to have seen him or her and experienced the cruelty firsthand. Yes, rumors existed that The Emperor was actually an Empress. Some said the ruler was a mixture of both genders.

But in the massive lands of the fallen Tharafen, lords, mistresses, princesses and princes squabbled over the newly formed domain. As one of the most successful Vangazi, and with royal heritage, it was Helios's task to unite the rulers and facilitate the plunder of a nation state."

Heyooo Pantrane. I'm interested to know where you plan on going with this plot. I really have enjoyed RPing with you in the group RP and it'd be fun to do something one on one, because I think that would move faster since we're both active RPers everyday.

What kinds of characters would interact with your character? What kind of plot/adventure do you think you want?

I know! We have a lot of fun! I'm glad you're apart of the other RP and we should definitely do a 1 on 1. I'm looking for all sorts of rulers. Maybe other royalty. Maybe even Generals who despise him for being a politician. There could be people who run the labor camps at the lumber yards or the ore mines..

One other person might be doing a 1 on 1 in the same universe. She might be a little limited on time, so we'd have a slower 1 on 1.. But I was telling her that I can act as a liaison and make the 1 on 1 interact with the other RPs... We could do the same thing. It would be like, when you and I interact, we'll talk about the other characters and still plan together. Honestly, with the two of you, I could close it outright and just do the two 1 on 1s...

What sort of character would you want to be? Thanks for the compliments!

Would the rulers all be from Helios's country? Or would some of them be people from the country which was taken over?
I would be very interested in playing a character that has some level of influence. And will probably dislike Helios for one reason or another. Those are the best kinds of RPs, where they must overcome inherent dislike in order to become friends or more.

It sounds like an interesting idea to have them slightly open and conversing between the two RPs. I'm open to it.

You can lead raids with me! We'll smash windows and fun stuff like that. lol

No they don't all have to be his race. I made it so the Vangazi have a lot of alliances. That way, all sorts of elves, goblins, etc can show up as emissaries for their particular nation.

So since the Vangazi are conquerors, it would follow suit that he would be hated for his royal lineage. Feel free to use an existing character of a defined race, or even to develop your own race. It was pretty fun making up the Vangazi.

You could even be royalty from another nation. One just as influential.

Royalty from another nation sounds interesting. I shall definitely develop a race of my own. Because, why not? It's fun after all.

Sounds good! If the other person is interested, I'll close this off. I think I'll make it so there are tasks that need to get done.. Tasks that come down from the emperor. And maybe there are squabbles as to who claims what resources. I expect Helios to go out into town though and do a little raiding also. But yeah, the possibilities are endless. Take your time and build the right character though. I worked on Helios for like 5 hours... Hahaha Part of that was my computer being slow.

I nominate this phoenix to join in on this as cruelty is her specialty. I could easily say that it had been one of the Vangazi who had screwed her over instead of a human. I could see her as very valuable ally/companion to Heliois or maybe one of the few beings who sees the emperor/empress on a regular basis? Probably the former of course.

I do want to clarify that she wouldn't be a pet, but an equal to your character. As for what she gets out of this, she would get plenty of chances for revenge against the Vangazi and a friend who shares her cruelty.

Sounds good! Are you open to the 1 on 1 format as well? I actually just made a map for the island. It makes sense to do it "1 on 1 x 3" because its a big island with lots of resources to squabble over. You might start out RPing with Amirya, the sister. I decided this would be a good opportunity for me to sneak in a female character. She'll probably end up crueler than her brother, so you'll get along well.

Why the 1 on 1 x 3 format? Two different players have different availabilities. This way we can write back as soon as we get each other's message or are able to. It also adds to the gamesmanship/negotiation aspect.

Each ruler is equal, but you'll have to negotiate through the Vangazi Royals for now. I just happened to create four cities on the map also. I'll take the center one. You'll see all the major roads and resources.

I'm going to close this for recruitment and I'll start an RP discussion thread.

I'm fine with 1 on 1 and the sister sounds fine.

Helios will show up eventually. Its just I can see myself time skipping between two rps... But for the sake of a storyline, the sister should go somewhere first. They'll rotate. The RP discussion post is up now too... You can see the map and a little info about each city. Each city has its pluses. Pick one that suits your character the best.
