Al Morel. The end of the dunes, the port city on the horizon. The capital of the Long continent. One of the commercial centres of the world, with items from lands as far away as the barbarian's reigns, in the far north, and the Imap Tribes, in the south.

Al Morel. Some say that it is at the centre of the known world, and that it is the exact border between the mysterious east and the civilized west. Mind you, some people can say anything.

The Families rule here, in this impossible city between the desert and the sea. The Seriphs and the Alcaides, the Prince and his Royal Guard.

Don't let the smell of spices and herbs, the sight of golden sand, the flavour of trade, the voices of cheerful sellers, and the spiralled buildings of the city's Bazaar let you down, my dear.

Intrigue abounds, going hand to hand with murder, deception and revolution.

Behind the closed doors of the palace, the Prince plots. Behind the closed doors of the common shops, revolutionaries plot.

In the temples of the God of a hundred Eyes, something wicked is happening. Rituals. Odd magics.

Magic itself is stranged here, for the Priests detain the Craft. Any human who is seen using magic and does not belong to their order will be burned at the stake. Accused of Witchraft. Ironic, isn't it?

And so the wheels of commerce go round and round, in this city, but so does intrigue.

OOC- Well, I decided to challenge myself and create a new roleplay set in a middle eastern, bazaar themed city. I'm a bit rusty at worldbuilding, but heck, why not ? Anyways, this roleplay is much more plot driven than my much looser Let Loose the Winds of Chaos one, and set in a completely different environment. Also, the images don't obviously belong to me. They belong to Lathander1987 and MarkBulahao at Deviantart, respectively. You can see their brilliant work here on the links I placed.

I will start by using the somewhat demonic, somewhat malicious and somewhat sarcastic Lanthe and the slightly deranged herbalist Senra Morin in this roleplay, although I'll proabably add more as it goes

It sounds interesting and I have three characters to choose from.

Novalyyn: Aw, okay Well, I can relate with the busy part, actually...

Katia: Right, okay. I think Ukishi would be the best for this one, actually, considering she can stay in a human form for a long time. Ravona's also a good idea (and a very interesting character.) I don't know about the dragon, though...I mean, why would a storm dragon come to the city? (Still, it could work...)

By the way, guys, sorry for taking so long to reply, I'm busy: I came to RPR an hour ago and I'm discussing the RP with 3 people through PM at the same time .

Hmm, maybe I should create a new thread in the discussion forum? I mean, all the roleplayers interested in this rp could see the info I'm telling the others

Sorea likes human children, occasionally sampling human cuisine and travels a far bit. So that is why she might visit this city.

I'd be interested in RP-ing this, I think I have a character suitable, though he's more medieval than fantasy, I think i would fit. I'm really new here, so sorry if I'm wrong on any of this.
