The Oracle is the most enigmatic and most influential female in the world. Kings and emperors seek her counsel, priests and holy men look to her for guidance and wisdom, nations tremble at her prophecies, for her predictions could doom them to prosperity or destruction...
But all is not well in the Great Sanctuary of Silis, a dark cloud hangs over the entire city of Silisim. Oracle's visions are darkened of late, vague and full of nameless dread. Dark times are ahead, the Fourth Age of the Third Era is ending and endings are always delicate times. The world will need her foresight and her sure guiding hand in the years to come, lest the world fall into Chaos...
But Oracle holds a terrible secret, a secret that, if it became common knowledge, would cause discord throughout the known world and topple thousands of years of history and tradition, undoing all that she has sought to build...
Oracle's Sight has failed. She can no longer see the future. The very thing which gave her life meaning, gone.
Without the Oracle, who will guide the fate along its proper course? The future will be left up to chance and the imperfect, blind blunderings of mortals, who all unknowing may lead the world to inevitable destruction...
But there is always a silver lining. For the first time in a hundred thousand years Oracle is free from her duty, her obligations, her great purpose. for the first time in many long Ages she has a chance to experience something akin to a normal life.
She can not do this alone, however, Oracle is lost, afraid, and so very very alone. She has not had a family or true friends for longer than civilisation has existed... is it even possible for her to open up? For her to connect to others again? Or is she doomed to a shallow existence, to be The Oracle of Silisim and nothing more, to be a title and a duty without a true name or a life of her own?
(So.. yeah, basically I want a long term RP in which my deliberately 2-dimensional Oracle character undergoes character development, with the backdrop of her mysterious loss of powers and her desperation to restore them before the future she has worked towards for aeons is undone.)

I'm slightly interested. What setting is your character set in? I have a feeling it's fantasy, but I just wanna make sure.
It is primarily a fantasy setting, but I can change that rather easily with a change of the starting time period, since the setting she's inside isn't afflicted with the whole 'medieval stasis' trope, which means it can (and canonically did, eventually) undergo a renaissance, an industrial revolution and eventual even interstellar travel.
The most fleshed-out bits are the fantasy and sci-fi eras, but I do have the vague outline for events during the renaissance period which directly led into the industrial revolution of the world.
