I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in a role play for an Arena.

The premise would be that there is only two ways someone would be brought into the Arena. The first of course would be to sell off a debt, either the fighter has a debt and wants to pay it using this way or someone owning the fighter. The second would be that they've been arrested and are too dangerous to be placed in general population, so instead they spend their years in the Arena. This of course comes with a threat to the fighter's life no matter the way they enter.

The Arena I think would be set somewhere in a separate realm so that all types of creatures would be able to enter. But humans rarely appear there.

Anything Supernatural would be a welcome fighter, from Vampires to Fairies. Anything from Females to Males (Meaning anything in-between, not, or whatever. I don't discriminate) would be welcome.

Ok... thoughts? This is more of a discussion, but I am also looking for a role play so I put it here. Hope that's ok.

I think this sounds interesting. The concept is unique, and I think most of my OCs are built for combat (well the ones posted on here so far) Maybe have a story behind it? Like, how was it created or why? Some suggestions would include perhaps, the Arena is gathering super strong warriors so they can collect the data, or DNA from them to create one, powerful, indestructible super-fighter. Now that was just a suggestion

I was going for a supernatural version of the Roman gladiators, fame and honor to the wicked. I'll definitely have to come up with a back story for the owner of the arena though, you're right. But you'd be interested in the idea?

Of COURSE I'd be interested in this RP, though my current two OCs are a human (Kyle) and a Saiyan (Daiko) I've always liked the thought of a huge fighting tournament, and gladiators seem cool to me. Anyway, it sounds very cool, and I would like to RP this idea with you

would there be a posting maximum and or minimum? I mean would this be a huge paragraph posting game or some thing more short and sweet

Cool, we could always start and let people filter in as it gets going. But we should probably figure out the rest of the story. So I am pretty new to this site, or at least role playing on this site specifically. While I come up with a back story and the owner's stuff what should I be doing exactly? I can figure it out on my own if you don't know of course.

OH, and humans are rare, but if your character wanted to test his skills then I'm sure that the arena would be fine with making money off of him... also I think I know who the Owner is going to be. I'm thinking desert, Egyptian style... hmmmm. Damn, now I gotta think.

Probably a minimum, and a 'please don't post a block of text' kind of rule. Otherwise I know that sometimes I just have so much to say but other times it depends on my partner so it would depend on the situation. I think as long as you leave your partners something to work with it'll be fine.

Desert... Egyptian style? Ehehehe, That's the first time I heard that phrase used Anyway, it would certainly put a nice twist on things if there were some lore to the world and such. I like details What I like to do when I RP is usually get the BIG parts worked out (important events) but then let the story kind of flow in-between them, kind of like improvising. Well, I don't THINK your supposed to be doing anything specific, maybe do a little bit of research on the subject? I don't really know.

Oh, and that sounds like something that Kyle would be doing. If you ever get the chance to read his character sheet, then feel free to tell me about it, and if he is acceptable (in terms of his powers )

Horus, the God of War. It would be an Egyptian twist to Valhalla. Great warriors are fated to gather here, either by debt or curiosity. So there would be some men and women there that purely chose to be there and could leave at anytime.

So, Here's a rough Draft::

The dust cleared, trees native to the desert oasis' had been planted alone the stone path. Behind you was nothing but sand and dust, however in front of you seemed like something out of a resort catalogue. Upon further inspection you can see the building in the middle of the oasis much clearer, stone walls and door, the windows were open and letting some air flow around the mansion. It was huge, hotel in nature. With the heat beating down onto your skin you are drawn further into the shelter.

Dainty feet were bare, legs were long and tan and lead up to very little white shorts that was partially covered by a white sash. Another white piece of silk was wrapped around ample breasts and the ansamble gave a show of that curvaceous dark body. The woman's hair had been cut short styled as a bob, with two pieces of bang coming down to brush against elegant collar bones. Gold colored eyes turned to meet yours as she flashed a pearly white smile. "Welcome to the Arena. I am Cleopatra, the owner of this establishment."


That's all I got for an introduction. I'm thinking twice a year there is a tournament and in the beginning the fighters could be training for it.

That sounds like a lovely introduction! Even mixing in some Norse mythology if I'm right. Anyway, that sounds awesome, a tournament held twice every year, everyone wanting to either test their strength, or paying off their debts, be it to society for being a criminal, or to pay off money debts. It sounds FANTASTIC! Anyway, I like it.

Good, I'll figure some more things out and by tomorrow evening I should have an actual thread ready. Get Kyle all ready, my character is a demon. *grins*

Well, my character has transformations! But a demon though... I think Kyle will be ready, or at least ready as he'll ever get, unless he trains, trains harder than he ever has before.

Eon is game! Past and future versions of him!! he's a lightning elemental.

this is scary as i have a character nnamed kyle who is simillar to this description in his own way. lol.

The overall concept of which you guys converse is something that strikes my fancy. question though. what if a character who just obbsesses with fighting stumbled upon said arena and decided to test their mettle against others present?

Just make sure to send me that info on your character and I will be a happy duck. It's mostly so that Cleopatra can be creepy and all knowing.

Know what. screw it. i think i will hop in with my Kyle. provided there are no issues with my doing that? i will also set some rules for myself too to kind of dumb him down a little as until his revamp is complete i'm considering him overpowered. i'll specify my personal rules for my using him in my opening post if I am allowed to join.

So is there a turn-order or what?
