New to the site, fairly new to forum RPs in general, and looking forward to getting started!

My half-elf ardent, Alia Porter, is looking for a good home. You will find an extensive backstory on her profile, but to sum up:

Growing up in a small, seaside town is hard enough. But when you're the only non-human in the entire village, and the only half-elf many villagers have ever seen, it's easy to feel alienated and alone. Despite the love shown her by her friends and adoptive parents, Alia Porter always searched for an escape, wanting nothing more than to connect with her elven heritage. That desire was squelched when bandits ransacked Cliffbarrow, killing both of her adoptive parents. Now, having discovered her ardent talents and trained herself to use a great sword, Li wanders through the country taking odd jobs, searching for her parents' killer and righting wrongs wherever she finds them.

Though she was originally created for a DnD group, I'm looking for a group or forum - somewhere where I can really write and not worry so much about stats and such. I'd love to be part of building up a world. However, if you think she would be PERFECT for your DnD group, feel free to send me a message!

Do either of you have existing forums, characters, or groups in mind, or are you thinking of starting one that she would fit in to? (I don't have a preference either way, I'm just trying to figure out how this works and what the status is)

I have a group or two that might work. The best one would probably be my group Combined Universes, which is a huge cross over group.

Or if you want to start off a little slower and simpler we could make a private thread. I even have a story in mind.

A couple of characters I could offer would be John, Tertius or Lyra. (I'd post links but I'm working off of a 2DS right now. Feel free to find John and Lyra on my profile and search for Tertius - I have him hidden.)

I like the idea of a private thread. Do you think you could get that started? I'm not sure how to do that yet. I'll check out your characters

@Crimsonknight212 : I'll see what I can whip up here in a moment or two. For all intents and purposes I will be the DM. But my characters will be played as if I was not - their actions will be strictly in character and will not be swayed by my out of character knowledge.

Let me know what character you'd like me to use, I won't post until you tell me which character intrigues you the most.

@Sketch444 : Consider this. This can either be a very long RP or a relatively short one depending on the choices we make in the RP.

Also this RP will be set mostly in a single area, a "haunted castle" of sorts. All of it made from stone, wood, fine furnishings and some metal here and there. You'll see as we go on. Also this will be a more serious RP, not a lot of humor (if any it would most likely be very dark humor.)

It might be easier to make a brand new one or adjust the non-canon aspects of her character info. The choice is yours, though either way it will require some research on your part buddy.

Well, I know hse's not an alien here so there's that. Aside fro mthat I dunno what else would need changing really.

So like I said. DO SOME RESEARCH!!! Study up on the possible races, there are very few races that are over 7 feet tall, over 350 lbs and can carry out an adventure past the age of 70 that aren't technically monsters.

What kind of neutral is she? Chaotic, true or lawful?

Inventory : Food, tools, collected items, etc. The choices are nearly endless. (I am allowing backpacks that "magically" reduce weight on procured items. Think of a Pokemon style pack, you can have endless amounts of anything you want and it doesn't weight too much.) All this but within reason.

I thought you said that this was just taking slight inspiration from DnD. If it's taking place in the DnD universe then I'm out. I don't think I need to say I don't know anything about DnD. And I don't really wanna just use standard classical fantasy races.

I think all of your characters are interesting! It sounds like John and Lyra are kind of a package deal, but of the two of them I think John intrigues me more. And Tertius is very intriguing as well. But whoever you'd like to play with is fine

And though I'm certainly up for it, don't feel obligated to base this off of DnD for my sake. I'm totally up for new things
