Hey, I was jotting down notes on ideas for a new race for a character. It's really my first attempt at such a thing and I was wondering what advice and tips people could give in such an endeavor.

other things not on the template like culture is how a society interacts. What relative point of development are they at? What architecture? what crops or hunting do they survive with? Do they trade w other species? It can flesh out how their society develops even psychologically.
