Okay, I don't really know if this is the right place to put this kind of suggestion, but there didn't seem to be a better place, so...
I think it would be really cool if we could do some kind of convention so that rpr members can meet up irl and stuff. This website is perfect for this because there are thousands of members and everyone is super nice (hence, a safe and happy con). I guess this would be very hard to set up but I would love to see it happen. Message boards can only go so far; I've been dying to see some of you face to face.

I'm not sure I have the resources or the energy to set up a convention, per se, but I really would love to do some meetups around the country at some point.

There are so many people from this site I want to meet, but living in the Netherlands and with very limited finances, that's not happening anytime soon unless someone lives within an hour driving away from me. (There are a few I know of though!)

Kim, you should come to Canada. I have a house with extra rooms. I will host you and serve you delicious Canadian food (mostly American food, but slathered in maple syrup)

Meetups came to mind for me, too - specifically using the site Meetup, or similar things, that could help small groups coordinate.

And hey, if we can get enough people on it, maybe we could work together to help set up a more big, official thing. Running conventions does take a LOT of time, money, and manpower though.
