I acknowledge the fact that I may have gone way slightly overboard with my IC universe, but the fact still stands that I have an entire planet that I have constructed.
I feel it would be easier for me, and anyone else who may have gone as far as myself, if there were to be a category for 'places' on everyone's profile, even if it were just to describe their OC's favorite places or their house. As it is, that information is vaguely in my profile.

What exactly do you mean with a category? We currently don't have categories for anything.
Also a bit confused about this. Can you describe a bit more what this would look like and how it would work, in your mind? 
Might I suggest using the text option when customizing the profile?
You can add several text boxes and title them and put whatever you want in them!
You could even put all those text sections, on a separate page on your characters profile!

I think there thinking of search options for profiles like looking for worlds, or more details thinks like fantasy ect.

I meant, like, the way you can look at a persons Characters, there would be another option to look at places.
And to make a new place there would be the 'quickstart wizard' Where you would decide whether it was a country or a building, (country, decide how big it is, what kind of weather there is, what time period the country exists in (steampunk futuristic, medieval France, Renaissance Italy, modern America); For a building you would decide how big it is, stuff like how many bedrooms and bathrooms and stuff, the wall color, what style house) and that kind of stuff.

For world building information, most people use Groups -- that way, you can store all the info about the world in one place, AND have your own forums dedicated to discussing and RPing in that specific world!
