Looking for anyone who would like to try a pokemon rp that allows gijinkas and is on with being the trainer of the sort.

The way I'd like it to go is more the trainer captures the pokemon. Gains its trust. Then it evolves into a gijinka.

It doesn't seem like this type of roleplay is at all popular here, but it's definitely worth a try.

Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.

Which person would be the pokemon?

If possible, I'd like to be the pokemon.
I'd probably prefer not to be in the rp then. I don't like playing humans too much.

Normally, a gijinka is a trainer who cosplays as a pokemon... If you look at the more common ones, they are VERY human like, and look as if they are basically wearing a costume of sorts. I'm had a similar talk with someone before on a different site who thought the same thing. I believe that the translation of the word gijinka is "Humanization" or other words similar to said word.

If you look into the lore of pokemon, you would note that the humans CAME from pokemon. So if you think about it, pokemon would be considered primates while we are considered humans (it's a rough comparison, so don't hold it against me :/ ) Even with this said, it took a VERY LONG time for this to happen. Because of that, it wouldn't make sense for a pokemon to turn into a gijinka, even despite it being such a cute idea!

But think of it this way: What would you think if you found a stay cat, and a week or two later, he turned into a neko who could speak your language? How confused would you be? It is the same thing, as a neko is normally a "cat girl/boy" who has cat ears and/or cat tail. A gijinka would be a pokemon that turned into a human (or a human dressing up as a pokemon) that has the characterizations of a pokemon, but with a humanoid body. There are already human-like pokemon out there, but they themselves cannot manage to speak anything other than their Pokemon language (other than Mew Two and Meowth, but they can speak because of their own reasons which were because of scientific reasonings.)

Now, because I just said that... I think that it would be a cool idea for a pokemon from team rocket was able to speak, and then get rescued by a nice trainer. The pokemon could have been transformed into a gijinka (which in its self sounds very dark and cute at the same time. Weird huh?)

I hope this was somewhat helpful at least to tell you why it couldn't happen (unless of course some trainer dressed up with their pokemon for fun/a contest!)

I see where you are getting at. I'll be honest, I did forget about those factors. It would mark this as impossible, wouldn't it? However, upon my own research, I have found out something that isn't mentioned above. And that is how the term "gijinka" in Japan is used to describe (in this subject) humanized pokemon.

Not to mention, there's another forgotten factor. A transformation from anything into a humanized version doesn't have to come instant with all the abilities of a human (Ex:speaking any language off the bat).

Not completely. The idea that I was talking about (Pokemon Gijinka from Team Rocket) would be one of the only ways. Other than that, maybe from a science lab else where? There are a bunch in each region, so there is no telling what happens behind the scenes! (Nurse Joys can be doing crazy things!)

But then there could be an AU pokemon universe where the pokemon either evolve into their next stage, or their trainers stop them from evolving, causing them to turn into gijinka (sort of reminds me of what that lady tells you after leaving the forest in Fire Red (she says that "somehow a trainer can stop their pokemon from evolving, but who would do something like that?" or something along those lines. Something bad must happen! Maybe that is what happens? Who knows!)

Also, I JUST noticed that I had changed my avatar icon today to a pokemon. GG me, lol.

That would be a good idea. Also, the last part was edited (sadly a little too late), but you are correct entirely. However, it could work offside from just team rocket pokemon, but less to be likely.

It's okay. It was just a random thing that I wanted to add.

As for the rest of what you said... You do know what AU stands for, correct? It means "Alternate Universe". This is used in various forms of canon worlds/universes to allow things to happen (pokemon talking, titans being naked (actually having junk and other things that may move when they run...), etc.) Some of it may be for humor, some for theories. But sometimes it's when someone wants to roleplay something that couldn't happen.. Well, happen! Like Pokemon gijinka. They could be real in an AU, but not in the normal pokemon universe (other than what we have already spoken about. But then again, it isn't KNOWN!)

All you really would have to do is slap an AU or (AU) at the beginning of your forum topic, and you're good pretty much! That is, if you're okay with that! I'm just giving advice here, not trying to tell you want to do >.<

Alright, I see where this is getting at, it is good advice, and thank you for it^^ I'll make sure to remember that and apply AU.
