The city I live near is famous for it's Roman ruins and it's possible to look around some of them. I was just reading that in 2007, when the centre of town was being redevelopded, a huge collection (one of the biggest in the country) of coins were discovered and right now there's a campaign going on to get them put on display.
I'm very pleased these things are being kept around and I thought I'd share. You never know, might inspire some roleplay ideas!

This is really neat! Are you going to go see them if they get displayed? 
Ooooh, that's awesome! I can't believe they were all stuck together, and 30,000 coins! How much was that worth, I wonder... Probably be the equivalent of us hiding bills under our mattress.
