Fear Flyer (played by Kyra45)

Sure, the airport stored many odd things. From a UFO to several other odd crafts. The airport, though, had been shut down for quite some time. It was hidden within a housing place, where super high tech planes would fly over. The runway was rarely used, as the control tower that was there was out of order. The pavement was cracked, ruined, and about beyond repair.

This was an odd era, in which the technology used to create airports was now nothing more than old plans that no one bothered to build out anymore. Even the hangars had been shut tightly. Whatever could have existed within was blockaded from the world, it seemed.

One hangar was weilded shut tightly still, though rusted out badly. Even a weak human could easily lift it up without trying. The doors were metallic, no windows even there to show if anything lived inside. It was rather larger than an average hangar, for it was huge. Covering it's outsides were warning signals, even police tape was there to insure that no one would open it.

Yet the being inside sat boredly in the hangar, listening to the outside. How it yearned to be free, but unable to get free itself. It couldn't see the outside, only hear it. Torturing to it, it seemed, because this poor thing hadn't seen yje daylight since the day it was vanquished from the human needs. Forgotten, it seemed, by the constant threat of new databases being made that no longer suited the need to be a fighter. The database that once powered it no longer worked, and left it's components to learn on their own.

So to it was an average day of having it's speakers near its eyes against the hangar walls, as it listened in to the outside world. Torture to it, but it needed to know that the world outside was still there, and not just pitch black space full pf sound. It's cameras were off to save power, as it still listened intently, waiting to hear anything that could be near it's hangar, situated in an overgrown portion if the airfield turned home plan landscape.";

I've decided 27 is going to be in an AU here so I can keep both RPs going without having 'makes no sense' issues. XD Never done this before, but if the plot works out well, there might be potential for parallel universe drama stuffs. Whoo!

She walked with the maddening rhythmic pace of calculation through the overgrown grass fields. The airport had been visible a little while ago, but only now did she see it at its full size. It was quite impressive even by modern day standards and at least a dozen hangars still stood in their somewhat rusted glory. Some of them were open and falling apart, but most seemed tightly sealed from the outside world.

27 took her notebook from her pocket - a thin, phone-like device - and browsed through it. Yes, this was the place he had mentioned... But it was deserted. No humans left to inquire, probably only dust gathering in the hangars without answers. A sad smiley lit up on her visor for several seconds. The appropriate response, even if she truly felt nothing at all. Programming could be a cruel mistress, no?

Even though she expected nothing, scraps might have been left behind. Clues were as valuable as the solution at this point and she would waste none of it if she had her way.

The boots at her feet suddenly thumped audibly as they hit concrete instead of mud and grass, echoing back at her from between the hangar walls. She visited each one by following the logical order of left to right. Some old radio equipment (completely useless by that point) was the best she found in the first handful of storage areas. Abandoned planes were rusting away and covered in thick layers of dust and grime. Where roofs had collapsed, most things had been destroyed by both debris and weather.

The few hangars that were shut were in much better condition. Dusty and infested with vermin for most part, but for as far as she could tell most equipment remained intact throughout the years. She picked up some old documents and flipped through them. Nothing... They were tossed back to the floor without a thought while she inspected the second to last hangar. There was only one left and it hadn't escaped her keen vision that it was welded shut.

That was strange, considering the others were locked with nothing more than over sized padlocks that fell apart on their own from sheer agony. A frowning face lit up on her visor as she dumped the last stack of paper. Nothing! The chances of the last hangar containing anything useful was so slim she considered skipping it. But even a 2% chance was better than 0%...

A few minutes later she faced the rusted, welded door in the bright sunshine. Her head tilted in various directions to inspect and calculate the condition of the door. If she was right, a few taps at the rusted edges and the right angle of levitation would make that a piece of cake! She went back into another hangar to fetch a hammer she found in the workshop earlier and returned quickly.

BANG.

One hit and there was already a gaping hole in the rusted door.

Upon hearing the 'bang' the bring yelped. Such a loud noise for a such a sensitve speaker-built device. It's eyes flickered on as it's gaze fell onto the newly formed hole. Daylight poured in, causin it to hiss and inch away from the wall, eyes adjusting to the dim light that entered to shoe the floor was filled i cracks.

Numerous papers lined the walls, along with several old blueprints that must have belonged to the old planes that used to be in the hangar. It was fairly intact from the ravages of nature, pretty dry due to having been sealed tightly.

The being stared at the hole. Light. For the first time in years it saw the sunlight. Dim, but there it was. Sunlight. A light that had eluded it's sight since the wartime. It would have spoken, but it's voice module was shot. So it stared intently, curious. And a bit scared.

27 adjusted the contrast and brightness of her vision as she peered into the hole. Was it going to be worth the effort? It was difficult to see much of anything with so little light falling into the hangar, but the way the sound resonated in there was interesting. If she'd not known any better, she would have been convinced someone had spoken up in there.

More banging followed, and very quickly the door was smashed in so bad all she had to do was kick it in. The loud clattering sound echoed throughout the hangar. Dust whirled up and made it difficult to see anything for the first couple of moments.

As it settled, the robot scanned the area. Three red dots scrolled from left to right repeatedly in the process.

The being with squeaked and inched back, hitting it's head against a light. It screeched and held it's head in a bit of technical spazzing, static blasting out furiously. The light turned on to show the large robotic creature holding it's head still. It's tail was almost entirely wires, and was hoisted up over a large box of parts.

It opened up a blue eye and peered at the figure that had entered, looking puzzled. ''......?'' It asked, but all it said was static. Shoot. It's vocal systems were so out that it still couldn't speak properly. It resorted to staring at the red lights, transfized and curious, it's eyes lit up in the dust.

The dust settled and the hangar had probably seen daylight for the first time in many years, judging by its appearance. As the scan completed, she detected no lifeforms. But it was hard to miss the noise and the static coming from a fellow robotic creation, which had moved and seemed distraught by the sudden onset of light and fresh air.

She didn't step back. There was no apparent threat in the other, besides its size, and so she resorted to flashing the question mark on her visor. "?" Repeatedly, hoping to draw some sort of communication from the large one while remaining perfectly still.

''...???'' The FF asked again, looking at the question mark with a confused look It put it's hands down and leaned down to the one that had entered, eyes looking curiosly, but still stinging from the newfound ligt source.

27 detected no actual lifeforms she could recognize in here. It was void of even the rats who fled at the noise and invasion of their dark hide out. But there was movement, and as the dust settled she had to tilt her head back to look up at the massive creation attempting to speak.

Her visor flashed an exclamation mark. "!" Self preservation kicked in and she stepped back until she was certain she could escape any potential attack from something as big and moving as that. She did register the rust on him, knowing his condition made a probability of successfully harming her low. But risks were unnecessary here.

"HELLO" "?"

The greeting scrolled along her 'face' repeatedly.

''........'' The FF replied, but it nodded. ''Hee.....llo.'' It finally replied, staticy in a bit. ''You.......Are?'' It inquired, tilting it's massive head to the right, six eyes adjusting to see more clearly. Humans and others alike had been too scared to enter it's 'lair'. Being that it's size made moving quite difficult, and moving it's head made the rust twist a bit and scratch against metal to metal.

The FF was trying it's best to communicate with what it assumed was a fellow bot, and not some person sent out to turn it in for scrap metal.

She waited until he responded. The likelihood of attack decreased further when she heard those terrible rusting sounds. Her boots' thumping echoed from the walls of the hangar as she approached.

"27." flashed on her visor in reply. "YOU." "?"

''Fear Flyer.'' It replied, straightening it's head back up. ''Ni....ce to meet yo..u 27.'' It inquired, looking at her carefully. ''I....Am a re..tired aircraft f..ighter. No..one has entered...Here after it was sealed. How'd you....Get in?'' It asked, struggling to speak with a half-out sound system.
Project 27 (played anonymously)

She stopped and turned to the door. The hammer she'd used lay on the ground, the rusted metal littering the concrete in an unsightly mess. She had no appropriate responses to describe how she got in, needing expansions and upgrades for that. But it should be obvious all the same.

She quickly calculated and estimate for how long the hangar must have been sealed, based on the poor conditions of the door and the fellow robot himself. Decades, likely. "HELP." "YOU." "?"

''You..Came to help..Me?''
Project 27 (played anonymously)

No, she had not. "NO."

But he might be of help to her, in exchange for helping him. "HELP." "YOU." "HELP." "ME." The words flashed at an easy pace. Would he get it?

''You want me to help you?'' It hissed, eyes narrowed. But after a breif hesitation he finally nodded. ''Fine. As long...As you don't try...Senfnhi.....'' He sighed, his speakers shorting out badly. ''...Sending me to...The scrap heap.''
