[This thread belongs to a character that is from the Overwatch universe! Science fiction characters of all kinds are very welcome, and Overwatch characters are more than doubly welcome!]

The streets of San Francisco were generally very populated much of the time, however, Artemis wanted to go somewhere else to set up. Many people were dressed up, walking with young ones, and making sure that Halloween was one of the most enjoyable it could be.

Dressed in a magical girl's sailor suit, Artemis had a faux golden diadem around her forehead, faux golden star and white feather pins in her hair -- two on either side of her bangs. There was a chartreuse bow at her collar, a cinnamon coloured clasp in the centre. Her skirt was pleated and also was a chartreuse in colour. Upon her hands were white gloves, and upon her feet that went up to the base of her thigh were also chartreuse boots with white trim.

Getting down to the banks not far from the Golden Gate Bridge, Artemis whipped out her hard light brush that hung idly at her hip. Twirling it a couple times with her synthetic arm, she then activated it and started painting a front. Her brush emitted varying colours of purple, orange, white, and blue here and there.

Soon enough, Artemis had gotten a light show of her own that showed off stylised pumpkins, purple witches and their cat companions, and white and blue ghosts that hung about with the hard light technology that sprung from the oversized brush tip.

Keeping the brush activated in order to keep the now holographic display up, Artemis switched the light's colour to a neon green. She then took her backpack from her shoulders, set it down, and started getting her bags upon bags of candy out, tearing them open and filling the orange, jack-o-lantern bowl that she had brought along with her.

Holding it and hoping for the best, Artemis was ready to give out candy and put on varying art shows for anyone that wanted it.
Bliksem (played by Pirate)

Ah, San Fransisco. What a fun city this was. Bliksem was glad his job took him to this gem of a place. Especially during halloween! The Americans truly lived this holiday and knew exactly how to celebrate it. Bliksem adjusted himself well, having spent most of his money used on Shadowruns to get himself a custom tailored suit; a robotic scarecrow.

The idea behind this suit was that everyone was made out of robotics. Where there was supposed to be hay covering his face, his face was covered by multicoloured wires, strapped to metal disk that played as his farmer's hat. Even his overalls were made by steel playing, the suspenders made out of chains. Around his eyes Bliksem had installed neon circles, as which were also found around his elbows and knees which would light up with each step he made. And of course, his shoes had a tiny light in the back of their heels to make all the foreign 8 year olds jealous.

The techno-scarecrow's eyes turn to a spectacle that nearly made him drop his giant bag of candy. Never before had Bliksem witnessed art created like this. He thought this only to be possible in the Matrix, not so much in the meat world. He was enthralled.

Not only was he enthralled, he was so happy to see that there was a purpose to all this beyond looking pretty! The super sentai woman would soon see some robotic scarecrow running her way in wide steps, as that was the only kind of step this tight suit allowed for. Not only was that weird, but the voice modulator underneath the wires made his voice sound robotic and heavy as he shouted "Holy crap" several times in a row. Oh yes, even during Halloween Bliksem did not allow anyone to figure out his true identity. Too dangerous a risk in his line of work.

As soon as the man reached the woman, he hunched over, regaining his breath and holding out his hand."Give... gimme a minute." He uttered as he remained standing there, breathing like a sloth that just ran a marathon.

It seemed that Artemis did not have to wait for too terribly long. Though her choice of location was a little unconventional for those that were celebrating Halloween, it looked like someone had caught sight and was making their way over. Rather quickly, one might add.

When the curious individual came to a halt before Artie, she took a couple steps back to keep the bowl of candy safe in case there were any unneeded collisions. However, the artist kept a grin on her face as she watched the oddly costumed man.

"Hey there!" Artemis greeted. However, she looked as the techno-scarecrow looked keeled over in attempts to catch his breath. She brought her free finger to her chin and asked: "... I have a few bottles of water to see me through the evening. But I probably have more than I need. Want one?"

"I.. uhh... agh! I need to stop smoking!" The Ork panted, slowly getting himself back up."And possibly stop eating cheeseburgers too." He added, his robotic voice laughing at his own joke."No better day like Halloween to get on a diet, right?"

Bliksem held out his bucket with a crudely painted pumpkin face on it."I'll take your sweets, lady. And your water." He added that last part softly. The neon eyes looked at the scene behind her though. The sweets were secondary right now."What kind of tech do you use to create such art?" He'd ask out of the blue."I've never seen anything like it. At least not in the real world. You a scientist? I ought to leave a card."

There was a short scoff from Artemis after the individual before her made a comment about not smoking and eating cheeseburgers.

"Well, you sure came to the wrong place for that. We got a burger joint on just about every corner, and stores that will sell you cigs after flashing a valid ID," Artemis went ahead and said. She went back and retrieved a bottle of water from behind the painted, violet cat, and then handed it over to the man before she started sprinkling varying candies in the pumpkin.

"There you go~ One bottle of water, some D.Va's Bunny Bubblegum, High Noon Ginger Snaps -- careful, those pack one hellova bang -- and Rejuvenesca Sour Apple hard candy," Artemis said as she finished dumping some of the candies into the plastic pumpkin.

When Bliksem pointed out the art behind her, Artemis' expression brightened.

"Real... world...?" Artemis was clearly taken aback, though she did not allow that to make her expression falter.

"No... I'm not a scientist. I mean... I studied in it -- science, that is..." the sailor scout started. Rubbing at the back of her neck with her free hand, Artemis continued: "I'm an artist. It's my own hard light technology! I made it because I wanted to make things like this. Things that people can experience -- stuff people have to really experience to get a feel and appreciation for it."
Lyrette Coffey (played by Kim)

Oh, but it was good to feel dirt under her feet again. Well, okay, really what she was feeling under her feet were ultra-high, ultra-fashionable heels, but that was just how people talked. Really what she appreciated was the smell of fresh air, air that hadn't been through the ship's oxygen scrubbers a million times before, air that wasn't filled with the soft hum of engine noise every second of every day. That hum had even invaded her dreams.

And what incredible luck, not just to be able to make a stop planet-side, but to be on a planet during a festival time? The elegant woman adjusted her black dress and set off into the city to find some accessories that would allow her to blend in with the locals.

That's when she ran across... was this a street performance? Whatever it was, it was beautiful. She clasped her hands, bobbing them in a gesture of respect to Artemis. "How incredible. Hard light! Is this technology of yours for sale?"

Perking up to another voice and visitor that had arrived on the scene, Artemis offered a bashful smile before shifting the bowl of candy within her hold.

"H-heh... no, unfortunately it isn't. So far as I know, my brush is the only one in existence. I don't really want it patented... at least not yet. I'm still getting used to it myself; once I can make sure that it works well enough after a certain period, maybe I'll get it patented," Artie said. It was not entirely true... she only thought about it from time to time before dismissing it.

Artemis held out her bowl of varying candies for Lyrette, her grin widening a bit.

"Candy?"
Lyrette Coffey (played by Kim)

Lyrette frowned at Artemis' words, that part of her brain that used to practice law suddenly being tickled. "No, no, that's not how it works. Get the patent now; you're walking around with it in public, other people are going to see and attempt to emulate. And if someone with enough money to put a lab full of engineers on the project gets in on the game... You want the patent as soon as you have a viable idea, not when you go to market. Timing matters with these things. You can continue to refine even after starting the paperwork."

As she spoke, she plucked a treat from the bowl of candy with an expertly manicured thumb and forefinger, but her attention clearly wasn't on the treat; it was a rote actin of politeness. Her interest was clearly the legal implications of this wonderful new tech.

"I'll think about it further," Artemis said with a sheepish expression. She did not really want to discuss a lot about her crafted technology. It generally made her uncomfortable to think what some people would use her tech for, if not just for art....

Kind of like what she already did when she applied the hard light antics to her Watch activities.

"How have you been enjoying the evening?" Artemis asked, making more small talk that shied away from her HLB for now.
Bliksem (played by Pirate)

The Orc, who had been stuffing some D.Va bubblegum down his throat while the two women spoke, finally spoke up, shoving the pink gum to the side of his jaw."I've got to agree with the lady here. This is incredible tech! I'm not saying you should keep it to yourself if money's no concern, but at least throw it on the Matrix as an open source. That way no Megacorps will steal your craft since everyone will be free to use it!" The Decker suggested.

"In any case, it was nice meeting you." The techno scarecrow said as he left behind a card on her table."But I should continue on, see what else this country has to offer Eurotrash like myself. Thank you for the candy, and have a pleasant evening!" Bliksem said as he turned around and waddles off towards the bridge a second time.

The card left behind was a simple black one, featuring red text reading "Need stuff done? Contact BliksemIsSuperGreat on the Holonet for a free thirty day trial of kick-assery." Next to the text it featured the doodle of an Ork, giving the thumbs up. Truly the best logo in the history of mankind.
