Jihan (played by CrescentNomad)

Jihan had settled in for the night within his Master's suite. Having long since put the Duke to bed, the djinn remained awake and alert finding himself restless. He seemed to roam between rooms, finding his mind racing with no real idea of what he was focusing on.

Clad in long sleeved red and gold trim robe, golden chain attached between nipples shimmered and swayed over nude flesh. A loincloth of the same hue was fitted around his waist, feathered tassels bumping against his thigh while bare feet carried him across the floor. The slight jingle of bells marked his presence, encircling his ankles. But most prominent in his appearance were his ears, a small row of feathers sprouting from the folds of the cusp. Beneath each hung tear drop shaped jewels, levitating freely from their given spots. Golden bang fell carelessly across the right side of his face, curling at the tip. And finally his eyes, dark black pools which housed blazing pupils. Multicolored electrical currents buzzed towards this center point, marking them as active.

Eventually the bronzed djinn decided to take to the kitchen. Even if he didn't need mortal foods to retain his life, he had a taste for them. Grabbing an apple, he stalked towards the doorway of the bedroom. Shoulder propped against the frame, taking a bite while eyes focused on the sleeping lycan. His beloved, his world, even if papers stated they were slave and Master. Free hand reached up to fiddle with the hanging monocle pendant situated around his neck, marking him as Chadwick's property. Soon enough he found himself wandering back into the parlor, flopping into a large comfortable chair in order to lounge and try to coax himself into sleep.
Little did Jihan know, but outside the walls murders were lurking. For almost a full year now, Lazar had been plotting the duke’s death. The duke had never been a kind man, to Lazar anyways. He had always belittled and embarrassed Lazar in public for various different things. It had been a long while since Lazar had last seen the duke, and he was sure at this point no one would expect a surprise attack.

Lazar and his men had been wondering around the city for what the better part of the day. They had brought in his small personal ship to the shores so his larger pirate ships wouldn’t get shot up. That caused problems though. He had wanted at least 20 of his men for this task. Unfortunately, he could only get 12 on his ship while leaving room for the spoils that he planned to take from the duke. He also planned on taking the duke’s servants and slaves. He could keep them for a little bit and then sell them off whenever he went to different pirate islands or if his men offered him a good price. He was sure, if there were any female servants, they would go fast. Of course, he wasn’t sure if he could do that. As much as he hated the duke, it wouldn’t be fair for him to take it out on the servants. He hadn’t completely made up his mind about what to do with them but the most pirate like thing to do would be to sell them.

After the sun had set, him and his mates had met up in a bar and drank a mug or two of ale. Not enough to get any of them besotted but just something to drink. They waited what seemed like forever to Lazar before he stood and then left. Slowly each one of them left after him and met him outside the duke’s house. At one time of the day or another, they had walked past the man’s house and surveyed it. Just to see it. Now he was sure that they were all ready.

Each one of them had on jet black clothing to hide themselves in the shadows. He even made sure that each and every one of his men, and himself, had on a mask. Although it made it partially hard to see as they went to the windows and managed to quietly get one on each side of the house unlocked they managed to do it. His men had the task of quickly rounding up all of the servants and goods that they could find. Lazar’s task was the killing. He already knew where the duke’s bedroom was from a part a VERY long time ago. The man hadn’t changed the way he had lived. Not even a painting on the wall had changed.

Lazar slowly pushed open the door and smirked as he saw the duke lying in his bed, sleeping peacefully. The time had come. Without batting another eyelash, Lazar was at the duke’s side with his brand new sword drawn. He had been told it was made of silver mixed with another metal to make it practically unbreakable. Lazar hadn’t cared much at the time about that fact then, but now, he couldn’t help but admire the beautiful sheen that the silver metal gave off even in the dull moon light.

A moment later, he plunged the sword right through the duke’s heart forcing the sword all the way down to the hilt. An evil smile spread across Lazar’s face and he quickly pulled the sword out of the body. He held his sword up, admiring it all the more now as the mix of deep red and silver shimmered. “Beautiful.” He whispered softly and then let his sword fall to the already dead man’s throat. “I should cut off your tongue for the things you have said. I will satisfy myself with the honor of slitting your throat and then dropping your ugly corpse into the beautiful sea to purify you.” He said before dragging the blade across the man’s throat, making sure the cut was deep.

As soon as that was done, Lazar used the bed sheets to wipe off his blade before resheathing it. He then wrapped the man up in his blood stained sheets and then headed out to the carriage, that him and his men had borrowed from a merchant, with the corpse hung over his shoulder. He had heard from the window the men already loading up the old dinky thing. It sounded like there was quite a bit to be happy about stealing.

Jihan paused in his position on the chair, suddenly feeling exceptionally tense. Something was amiss, he could feel it. His nostrils flared, sensitive rings catching an unfamiliar scent. No, there was more than one...there were several. His eyes darted towards the door of his beloved's bed chambers, every muscle in him growing taut and at the ready. He was not sure if a passing breeze had carried the smell of others into the suite, or if paranoia was working at Jihan's mind. But no matter how you sliced it, he was up and out of his seat.

He stepped towards the bedroom door, fingers clasping onto the handle to give it a turn. When he swung it open, it was just in time to see Lazar dragging the blade through Chadwick's throat. For what seemed like an eternity, he stood there and stared in utter disbelief. Everything felt as if it were going in slow motion, a horrible nightmare that had finally become realized. He felt all of the air from his lungs completely drained, suffocating in his own bewilderment, as the color drained from tanned cheeks and left him a sickly pasty color. He thought for sure he was going to be sick, even if he really had nothing to regurgitate in that pathetic organ he dared to call a stomach. This couldn't be happening.

Oh but it was, and the second he snapped out of that mournful state of mind, an inferno was ignited that seemed to shoot from his toes on upwards. His focus turned to Lazar, and his anger was white hot.

"You..y-you...wretched...cowardly, conniving, monsterous....MURDERER!!" He screeched. A series of curses and slurs came afterwards, far too brash and distasteful to be said here. But whatever he said, it was the type of speech that would cause angels to drop dead and fall from the skies. Warm tears spilled from his eyes, as he felt his heart and mind shatter into a million sorrowful pieces. Thick plumes of violet colored smoke wafted from the corners of his eyes, face scrunching up into tight wrinkles that easily spoke volumes of how angry he was.

The furniture within the room began to wobble and creak, before lifting off of the floor entirely. To test the wrath of a djinn was indeed a risky business to fall into. He ran forward, throwing his arm out and sending a table flying in the direction of Lazar. Meanwhile his body dropped and wrapped his arms around the lifeless man whom was just taken from him. He held on, absolutely fit to be tied. He couldn't tell how he was supposed to feel. Enraged, mournful, or an insane mixture of the two. But he knew one thing, this thieving bandit who stole Chadwick's life had a fight on his hands. One eye was strictly drawn to him, the remaining furniture in the room still bobbing in mid air as Jihan held on to the dead Duke. "C-Chadwick..please...come back.." He whimpered.
(Sorry that took so long. x_x Work was hell and I pretty much crashed whenever I got home the last two nights.)

When the door to the bedroom flung open and the boy stood there stunned, Lazar took the time to wipe his blade and then sheath it, figuring it was just another human servant. It didn’t take him too long to see the little jewels floating around the clearly NOT HUMAN ears. His nose scrunched up as he tried to figure out in his mind what the other man in the room could be. The confused look only intensified whenever he saw the smoke spilling from the other’s eyes along with the tears. The words he spoke didn’t shock him a bit though. Some of the words were rather new to him but he had heard practically every one in the book from several different countries; England, Spain, France, Africa, India and the Caribbeans.

As the apparent rage quickly worked into Jihan’s face and body, Lazar grabbed for his sword with his right hand expecting a fight. He was then the one to stand there stunned for a moment whenever the furniture started to levitate. He hadn’t seen that coming and he certainly didn’t expect a table to come flying at him. “THE HELL??!!” he said quickly ducking, though not fast enough. The leg of the table smack him square in the left shoulder throwing him on his ass a few feet from the bed. “Bloody f***.” He groaned, though he didn’t take more than a split second to nurse his injured arm.

He was back up on his feet in a flash staring at the emotionally injured man. He didn’t need this little priss going and rating him out though. His family hated him enough as it was, he didn’t need his name further ruined by a demon, wizard or whatever he was. His name and chances of being welcomed back into the aristocracy certainly did deserve to be completely ruined, but he wasn’t going to let it happen if he could help it. He had gone to extreme lengths to hide the fact that he was a pirate for heaven’s sake. He didn’t need this one little incident causing him even more grief. He didn’t want to KILL the guy because he had no quarrel with him, other than having the table thrown at him, but that didn't call for death in Lazar's book.

Before he could even think of away to possibly get the kid out, one of his guys showed up in the door way and stood there shocked for a moment. He stared at the floating objects and then looked directly at the boy. “Holy mother of pearl…I never thought I’d see real magic in action.” He said clearly stunned but impressed. Lazar let out an exasperated breath and smacked himself in the face with his hand. THEY WERE PIRATES! God damn some of his religious men for not wanting to swear. It made them sound like a damn priests!

His mind didn’t stay distracted for too long. He felt a little bit better with one of his men there. He wasn’t sure how long the fellow would last though. Hell, he wasn’t even sure how long HE would last with this demon. “Come on now kiddo. I come along peacefully. I need to dispose of the body.” He said deciding to attempt the peaceful way. His wording was clearly not chosen wisely though. For a man who had schooling, he didn’t remember much of the manors part. “Lets not make this a big fuss now. What’s done is done. He’s dead now.” In his mind though, he wasn’t being as kind of the situation. The stupid bastard is gonna be some shark food. I bet it'll be a pretty view down there at the bottom of the ocean.

Jihan didn't care much for negotiations at this point. No, the love of his life had been brutally murdered and he was no longer willing to try and smooth things over. He continued to coddle the bleeding and lifeless form of the Duke to his chest, absently stroking his hair was face had taken on a blank expression. This couldn't be real, he was certain it was the worst nightmare he could have and soon he'd snap awake. Soon enough another entered the scene, staring in awe at the levitating furniture. Blazing pupils swam through the inky sea of his eyes, falling on the unfortunate male that had entered.

"An eye for an eye...." The djinn suddenly hissed, his voice sounding as if he was speaking under water. The window nearby began to rattle and quiver, until the panes of glass shattered apart in a sickening crunch. Most of the glass went flying to the outside of the building, but a few long and jagged pieces were left behind, swirling in a dangerous circle around the djinn. His crewman was about to take a very long walk with death if he wasn't fast enough to dodge. The djinn grit his teeth as every muscle in him tensed, sending the knife like points towards the unnamed man. If he didn't get out of the way in time, he'd find his eyes punctured with two of the forlorn pieces, digging through the sockets and into the back of his skull.

The next set went for his chest at such a velocity that it would force him back into the nearby wall. Long broken pieces skewered through his chest, effectively pinning him to the wall with a wet slab of blood and flesh. If he was still alive, he wouldn't be for long. By then, he'd wish for death from the wretched pain Jihan had caused him. Hit or miss, his eyes turned right back to Lazar who had been left intact.

"I am not your kiddo!" He snarled, the floor beneath Lazar shaking almost violently. "You come peacefully? Ha...HA HA HA HA!" He'd bellow, throwing his head back to release a most sinister laugh. "You call this dead body PEACEFUL?! You sorted son of a b****. Yes you're right he is dead...BECAUSE OF YOU!" Jihan's patience was steadily starting to crumble, as was example of the potentially shishkabobbed crewman on the nearby wall. "You can't have him, he is MINE! HE BELONGS TO ME!" By this point the blonde was sobbing, and there was nothing Lazar could say to console him. There were few in the world that Jihan would squeeze out tears for, and Chadwick had been one of them.

He'd choke a gasp, unable to keep up with the surging emotions that were battering him all at once. A wreck, that he was. "Y-You...have less than a minute...to get the f*** out of my sight...less than a minute... before I force your brain to implode in that skull of yours. And I won't make it quick either, noooo..." He shook his head from side to side, plumes of smoke growing more dense as he spoke. "I'll make sure to slowly rip off your arms and legs, thread by fleshy thread...until you are nothing but a sobbing torso. From there, my master craft truly begins. You will wish your fate had been that of your accomplice, you dirty, filthy, worthless bastard..." He continued to hoard Chadwick in his arms, coddling the male to his chest for dear life. He knew he was dead, but that didn't seem to matter at this point. Foolishly he believed he could bring him back, even if such was impossible. Djinn or no.
As the window started shaking, Lazar and his crewman turned to look at it. As it made unusual noises, Lazar too a step back clearly frightened by powers that his current foe had. The other man stood there stunned. He was amazed by the sorcery and magic but unfortunately for the man who just so happened to stumble in on their quarrel, he was not as thoughtful and on his feet as Lazar was.

As the glass punctured his eyes he let out a loud, pain filled scream thought it was cut off whenever it reached the back of his skull. It had pierced the brain and ended his life. The lifeless body hit the wall with a thud as the next shards of glass pinned him to the wall through his chest. Lazar watched the whole event eyes wide and jaw opened. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He took steps back the entire time until his back hit the wall.

At that moment, Jihan turned his attention back to Lazar. OH F*** was all that he could think. As he screamed and ranted at him, Lazar slowly started to slide over to the door. He occasionally glanced at this crewman, almost as a reminder of why he was trying so hard to get out of the room. Whenever Jihan demanded he leave, he didn’t bother to stick around and listen to what the crazy being said. He was out the door of the room, down the stairs and outside of the house in less than 20 seconds. As leapt down the stairs he called to his men only saying, “Get out!” He repeated the short phrase multiple and once he had reached the carriage where his men had put all the stuff, he smacked the horses’ ass’ and grabbed the carriage causing them to take off flying. Only one didn’t run fast enough to grab onto the carriage and he was the dead man currently pinned to the upstairs wall.

Once the carriage was a good 200 yards from the house, Lazar looked back at his men. It was plain as day they were just as scared as him. He hadn’t told them anything at all and he didn’t plan on it. As brave as he was, staying in that house would not have been brave. It would have been foolish. He couldn’t help but softly comment to himself though, “I’ve met a witch who had the power to bring back the dead but I’ve never been more frightened for my life than now.” He crew heard and one of them looked back, although frightened, still curious as to what could have frightened the captain.

Jihan allowed the man to escape, for what is precisely what he wanted. The djinn was far out of sorts, and even more outside of his comfort zone. Normally a complacent man, a gentle man, something in him changed when he witnessed the death of a loved one. A darker, more sinister side of the man came forth in full force. It was dreadfully terrifying, more so to himself than the man he had just scared into a stupor.

Once Lazar and his band retreated, Jihan found himself still coddling the lifeless corpse of the Duke tight to his chest. He was still in heavy denial that any of this could be real, he nearly refused to believe it. But as night bled into dawn, he eventually snapped out of his glassy eyed trance. Gaze fell on the face of the Duke, which had grown pale and frightfully cold. He stroked the clammy flesh of his cheek, deceased skin feeling surreal against a warm touch. Slowly he moved to rise, holding the limp carass within his arms as he stepped out of the balcony door.

"I do not care where you go, how far you flee...I will find you. I will chase you to the end of the world and back again, never allowing you a moments rest. To kill you would release you from this curse, and I would much rather torture you instead." His eyes moved to fall closed. "Until this wretched, stabbing pain that has tainted my heart finally fades, you will find me stalking right in your shadow. You will feel me looming over your bed, and you will fall into insanity. This I promise you, murderer. You've taken my only source of comfort from me...and I shall do the same to you." Words were spoken in a low monotone, to no one in particular. He promised this to himself, that he would find Lazar again soon and ensure this crime did not go unpunished. He knew nothing the local law enforcement could do would ever be enough. He'd take this into his own hands.

Days passed, and a proper burial was given for his lost beloved. The funeral was melancholy, bleak, and throughout the djinn was a stone faced as he had been since his promise was made. While still a slave to his design, he ignored it in favor of the vengeance he craved. A week to pass, and mourn he still did. His mind was numb, his emotions bottled and trapped within a steadily darkening heart. He was repurchased by a woman named Lettie, an old friend and one he trusted a great deal. He explained in no short order what he wanted to do, and she allowed such travels to occur. Of course she wished to go with him, but he refused the company for he did not wish her to suffer as he was surely about to.

A final visit to the grave of Chadwick, he stood for what seemed like hours. It was as if leaving truly meant he'd have to let go, even if he wished he could die right along with the lycan man. But no, such luck did not favor the immortal breed. "I will not be gone long my love, this I promise. When I return, that sinister cretin will either be dead or driven into madness. If the former should take place, I shall bring his head back for you...as a token of my loyalty. If the second is to be, I shall gouge out his eyes, and filet his tongue, with the same damnable sword he used to slay you. He will be blind and mute until the day he does pass. He will only be able to hear the mockery he receives, and the last image he will ever recall of the world around him will be my face. It will haunt him until the reaper decides to show pity on such a heartless monster." Jihan leaned in and pressed a fluttering kiss to the headstone, taking a few hesitant steps back and away.

From there, he took the first ship out of port that morning. He did not care how long it took, how far he'd have to go, he fully intended to carry out his threats.
(Sorry, was on vacation and had no internet. By the way, if you need more information to post from just note me and I'll add more to this post.)

Unfortunately for Lazar, he had not heard the threats that Jihan had given. He was running, trying to put distance between them. As he reached the docks he looked back to the house he had just pillaged and inwardly destroyed. As he looked though, it was a clear reminder of the magic man. He shuttered and quickly ordered his men and all of the captives and loot onto his little boat. As his men got settled, making sure the captives were quiet and the loot was in the proper place, Lazar quickly took the carriage back to it’s proper place and then sprinted back to the boat as if his life depended upon it. The magician’s presence in the city was strong and Lazar could feel it weighing heavily down upon him. As soon as he got to his island he would feel better. At least, that was what he kept telling himself.

As soon as Lazar reached the boat, they set off for the island where his crew and his town were. It was well past dawn whenever the island came into view and by the time they had maneuvered through the coral and reefs, it was well into the morning and almost noon. Lazar was exhausted from staying up all night and not to mention, already slightly paranoid about the djinn following him. The island had a strong natural defense though. Not even the witch from the Caribbean’s he had met years ago could touch him here. That was how he felt anyways.

Upon docking up, he got his men off and ship unloaded. They headed up to the town and he let his men have a go at the woman captives and placed the men in the prison for the time being. The men who had gone out on the task with him began splitting their share of the loot and Lazar made his way back to his home. For the rest of the day, and well into the next morning, Lazar slept like a baby. Upon waking, the events of his revenge played through his head though he didn’t linger long in the thought. He pushed it aside. That was done now. It was time to move on to a new adventure.

After going through his normal morning routine, he made his way out to his men and quickly started to rally them. They were heading for a small island off the coast of Africa called Sao Tome and Principe. There he knew, they would find another quest for gold and adventure from yet another witch. This one, Lazar dared not cross though. The witch in the Caribbean’s he feared. There were no words for how much Lazar detested, feared, hated, loathed, and yet respected this woman. She may as well be Davey Jones himself. The blind, bitch saw much more than she should and used it against you but at the same time, if you gave her what she wanted she was always more than generous.

His crew refused to go on the island with her, but he dared to step onto the island and ask for a lead on gold and adventure. Even if she gave him a quest for herself, she always rewarded them richly. At such a cost though. He had lost many good men on quests for strange things she needed from the oddest of places. He had been all over the world for her. Some of his men said he was enchanted by her but he just knew her worth and he knew when to fear and avoid someone. She was so powerful though, he felt he bets keep on good terms though. The very next day, they set out. They left behind the normal crew to take care of the crops and the town for them though as they made their way down to the island. Lazar, hoping that fate may treat him fortunately.
