I thought I would stop trying to figure this out myself...so how do you guys put gifs in a forum? Do you use the same method as you would anpxiture? If I'm on my mobile device, can I use my gif keyboard from that device? I just want to join in on the fun!

Gifs work, indeed, the same way any image is posted! They're special file formats just like .png and.jpg, you have to upload the image to a hosting service, and then use the img code to display it.

That also means you need access to the individual files, so things like Stickers from Messenger and the like won't work because they're app/site specific.

Hmm.. so I can get images to work but gifs won't.. any idea why the above didn't work?

That's because img codes need to end in an image extension! So the URL has to end with .gif - the one you tried doesn't, therefore it's not showing up.

The URL also works when you remove everything that comes after .gif, like this:

https://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/glee/images/b/b1/Emma_Watson_THIS_Gif.gif

So putting this into the img tags works.
