The sun had long disappeared behind the trees of Ilex forest, leaving only a sliver of orange in its wake. Navy blue hues engulfed the sky, making it hard for Hannah to find her way back onto the forest path. She cried out a number of gurgling noises as she was attacked by numerous branches, and ended up finding her mark by falling face first onto it. "Dang it... I didn't know I would be out so late. Ugh!" She sat up, wiping dirt out of her hair and replacing her skewed beret. Sighing deeply, Hannah glanced down at the strange rock in her arms. If it hadn't been for this thing, she would already be in Azalea town. Earlier in the morning Nurse Joy had called into PRO to get a field expert out for an emergency with one of her patients. Along the way, Hannah had tripped over the poor injured shuckle and ended up losing her way in an attempt to find its trainer.

"I hate to make her wait... But I can't see where I'm going... Darn it! I will have to camp until the morning." Not knowing she would be out so late, Hannah had not thought to bring a flashlight. Standing up slowly, she went to retrieve her blanket from her backpack, but she zipper had become jammed, "Ah dang it!! Could this get any worse??"

"Oh man we're finally here! It took us long enough!" Herve a trainer from Violet City has finally made it to Azalea Town here he plans on obtaining his first official Pokemon League gym badge "I knew Azalea Town was south of Violet I just didnt realize how south it was!" He said as he staggered into the town it was a small peaceful area not as big as Violet but it still had a nostalgic feel to it "I guess i should rest up at a pokemon center for a while Professor Earl did say that they usually have resting areas for trainers who are out at night" He adjusted his back pack and began looking around the city. "Wow this place kinda makes me remember when we came here on our field trip a long time ago. Those were some good times. Ah there it is the Pokemon Center!" He made his way inside the building which was brightly lit there were other trainers tending to their pokemon or shuffling through their belongings checking their items as he looked ahead he saw the pokemon healing station Nurse Joy standing at the front counter. "Hello miss I..was wondering could you revitalize my pokemon please?"

"Certainly." Nurse Joy piped with a smile, "Lay them on the tray at the end of the counter and I will run them through." She stepped over to the giant machine, pressing a few buttons before turning her attention back to the trainer, "Say, are you a new trainer from the academy? I hope you aren't planning on going back out again tonight. You do know we offer free bunks for young trainers, right?" She twisted a few more buttons, then opened the hatch for Herve to insert his pokemon.

"Oh no ma'am I was actually looking for a place to rest for the night." He said as he placed his pokeballs in the tray. "Besides isn't the Ilex Forest up ahead? I'm pretty sure it's not a good idea for me to go out there at night." He looks around for a free bunk to rest in and notices a PC next to the reception counter. "Oh a PC i should check my e-mail I bet mom's sent me something!" Herve accessed his mail eager to see something from his mother as he clicked his inbox his heart sank. "Oh...N.no new messages.." He closed the window and walked back to the counter

Nurse Joy smiled, noticing his sorrowed look, "Don't worry. Mom's don't write for the first few days. They figure you want your space. She will send you something soon, though." Timing it perfectly, she had released his pokeballs from the machine just as she finished her sentence, and also just as the phone began to ring, "Oh, excuse me. I need to take this. J-just find an empty place to sleep for the night." She hurriedly finished, dashing for the phone.

"Azalea Pokemon Center. Oh, are you the leader from PRO in Goldenrod? No, I haven't heard from her yet. I called this morning and they said they would send someone down. Are you sure she left? Has she not come back? Oh dear..." Nurse Joy paused, "I hope she isn't lost. Does she have any kind of communication on her? Huh? It's not going through?" She fidgeted uneasily as she spoke to the person on the other line.

Herve couldnt help but to listen to Nurse Joy's conversation. At first he was reluctant to ask seeing how it wasn't his business. But for some reason he felt inclined to ask. "Um..excuse me..but is there something wrong?" His emerald eyes showing a bit of concern.

"Oh..." Joy had hung up the phone just before he had asked, "Well... I was having trouble with one of my patients this morning, and I called in help from an organization in Goldenrod... They sent out a representative this morning but... No one has seen her since, apparently. They were worried because her phone isn't working and she didn't check in." She frowned, "I hope nothing happened to her... There isn't really anything that can be done till morning."
