Akio (played anonymously)

This is breaking news. The kingdom is being devastated by a terrible disease! Symptoms include bleeding through the skin, a corpselike appearance, and, within the hour of the first few symptoms, death. Luckily, the prince is welcoming anyone he can into his home... As long as they aren't already exposed to the disease. He claims to have enough room for at least a thousand people, not including those already residing there such as the servants and his good friend, Duchess Arina, who supposedly built the rooms Prince Akio's guests will be staying in, as well as a very special ballroom of sorts which, knowing her, will be a sight in itself!

Within the castle, the servants were being pushed to work harder and faster than they ever had before. The royals were expecting many guests, so the place had to look its best, and nothing less... And in a place as elaborate as this, that was impossible for the small amount of servants. Let's just say, the building looked normal from the front, but inside... The rooms were set up in an odd pattern, which wasn't reflected by any outside view of the house. Moreover, the duchess very much seemed to like making rooms as colorful and filled as possible, which meant a lot of being careful not to break anything whilst cleaning the room. So, did you catch that? Careful, perfect, fast. And then there were the duties that needed to be performed while the guests were actually there, which would be many times the usual workload. With the amount of people dropping dead, I doubt any new servants would be hired, so the workforce was what it was... And yet, most of the servants didn't think twice about doing their job. It didn't matter that there was literally nothing to gain from working anymore. What will they do with the money? Support their dying families?

Outside of the castle, the nation was in a panic. Some people were fleeing to their newfound safehaven, while most were forced to stay in their homes, as they had been exposed in one way or another to the Red Death. Some of the exposed tried to get into the castle anyway. They deserved protection, too. That's the entire point of a government! It broke the guards' hearts to have to say no to so many people, but there was just too much risk involved. Still, that didn't stop some of these people in their attempt to get in, claiming to have been travelling when the disease hit and that, therefore, they were unaffected. You have to hand it to them, their determination was admirable, and maybe more people would have tricked their way in, if not for the fact they dropped dead on their journey.

Emitting a slight sigh, the news about the "Red Death" is continuing to spread around the township.
Though she couldn't do a single thing about it, for she was locked in her Shop, with nothing to do but mix herbs together, of course she could practice magic, but what if someone where to peek through the window, it's bad enough that she was already attracting attention to herself due to her ungodly, un-natural hair color.

Tapping her foot, she sat on the leather stool, her head on her hand. As she waited, he could hear her stomach growl.
"Time to go out.. It's getting bland in here anyway.. Tis a free land after all.."
She said to herself, putting on her cloak, pulling up the hood.
She could only reach for the back door, but then, she heard loud banging noises on the front door, seeing as it was.. one of "Them", she opened the door, running to her horse, only to look back to see her basket laying on the stable door.
Grabbing it, she hopped onto her horse, speeding off in a rush.

Gripping the reins of her horse, she sped up, bolting past some of the undead looking beings. With her hood falling off, she clenched the reins, grinding her teeth, she didn't want to attract any more eyes than she needed. Only then did she spot the castle in sight.
"M-Maybe they'll let an Herbalist in.."
She muttered to herself, determination in her eyes. As she approached the guards, she came to a halt, merely huffing as she spoke.
"Please, I'm the Towns Herbalist, you must let me in, I haven't yet been plagued with the disease and I shan't be plagued with it."
She pleaded, her hood down, revealing her perfectly clear skin, and of course, her ungodly hair.
Sissy (played by Maylee)

Sissy ran through a mainly abandoned town as a bright red wolf. Her eyes scanned everything as she passed, dodging the infected. She saw the castle in the distance and kept running in its general direction.
Mikey walked quickly to the castle, carrying a violin in its case (He was a musician, of course! They must let him into the castle!). He was trying to avoid those who were infected by this "Red Death" disease... he definitely didn't want to catch this. Mikey has seen people infected from afar, bleeding through their skin, looking like a corpse. (Mikey already thought he kind of looked like a course...) 'They're probably dead by now...' He thought, and let out a sigh.

He continued his walk, avoiding eye contact with people he passed, pulling the hood of his cloak up to cover his face, he wasn't looking to talk to anybody... not yet at least...

He finally made it up the the front door of the castle, and noticed the guards and another girl standing there. He looked the guards in the eye, and held up the violin in its case. "Musician." He stated, then lowered his arm.

The guards looked mostly at two things: her skin (for obvious reasons) and her hair (yet again for obvious reasons). What was up with that hair, though? Well, as long as her skin was clear of blood and the paleness of sickness... She should be fine.

"Eh... I dunno... Would people go t'an Herbalist for summin' like the Read Death? Or i'dat summin' else entirely?" one of the guards asked in a thick accent.

"How should I know? I haven't got'it! Ask 'er, she 'as'ta know!" the other replied in the same heavy accent. He sighed, keeping his gaze fixed forward and no longer on the woman. "I tells'ya, you think I'ave the answers to everythin'." Wait, what was that flash of red bounding towards them? The guard recoiled in fear, for the color red was now always to be feared. For with red comes death. Certainly it was also like that before, what with bloody battles showing off a lot of that themselves, but this was different... It was then another new person had appeared. The guard composed himself and stared at Mikey.

"I need'ta see your face. Fully."
Sissy (played by Maylee)

Sissy got closer to the castle gates and turned into her human form (a 14 year old girl) she walked up slowly but cautiously. Watching the Guerra and the peaple nervously. She pulled a hood of her cloak up to cover her long bright red hair.
Mikey nodded, and pulled his hood down, revealing his face. He was insanely pale, scars covering one side of his face, green eyes, and messy black hair. "There, that's my face." He responded to he guard, still looking him in the eyes.

Getting up off from her horse, she looked at the guards.
"Fear me not, I am of use to you. I can grant you a small fortune from the sickness. If you let me in, I shall make a mixture, It can halt the virus for a short period of time, not forever though, only a few weeks. This would greatly secure your safety out here."
She said, continuing to plead.
Only then, did she get down, bowing before them.
"Please, I beg of you, Tis no longer safe in my town, would you grant me my wishes?"
She said, clenching her fists, letting off the essences of fear.

The first guard looked down at the woman, feeling instant empathy for her.

"Well... Alright. But if I find'ya lied to me..." Well, she could figure the rest on her own. He stepped out of the way and held open half of the gate. "You may pass."

The second guard, the one dealing with Mikey, had luckily not seen the wolf-to-human transformation (which is a good thing, since now she could approach them without fear of being attacked). He looked over Mikey's face and frowned. "Off to the side wi'you. I need t'inspect'ya farther." Musicians were to be allowed in on sight, but this was a special case, you must remember. Come on, you try telling me this doesn't seem the least suspicious with all of the people trying to trick their way in. Off to the side was a young man, a guard-in-training, if you will, who was to fetch the prince or duchess if the guards couldn't make a call. This was such a case, as you can tell.
Mikey sighed, and stepped to the side. He waited for further inspection, like the guard said.

Standing to her feet, she bowed further more.
"T-Thank you. M-May I proceed with my horse?"
She asked, tilting her head to the side slightly as she raised herself.

"O'course. Now move along quickly. I need'ta shut the gate!"

The young man took one look at Mikey's face and became horrified. He ran inside to find either the duchess or prince as fast as he could, the first one he found being Akio. He dragged the prince outside to inspect Mikey himself, babbling on and on about the pale skin and the horrid feeling in the air around him. When he was standing in front of this so-called terrifying monster, Akio looked him up and down, then stared directly at his face.

"Well, your face is pale, but there is no blood..." He looked down at the case. "And you are a musician, I see? ... You have not been exposed to the Red Death at all?" Honestly, Mikey probably had a better chance with Akio than Arina anyhow, so he should be glad it was him who was brought to inspect the musician.
Sissy (played by Maylee)

Sissy waited about 10 feet away form the others a hooded cloak covered her huge ugly scar across half her face and her bright red hair. She kept glancing around nervously afraid the guards had seen her transforming form a wolf to a human.

Nodding, she did as she was told, taking her horse with her.
Her eyes fluttered a bright green, glowing in the foggy daylight.
As she walked on wards, she seemed to find an Okay spot to put her horse, so she did.
She only sat down by her horse, not knowing what to do now, honestly, she didn't know what else to do.
"Yes, I know that I'm very pale..." he began. "And yes, I'm a musician. No, have not been exposed to the Red Death... I just always look dead."

The first guard closed the gate, then shouted to Sissy, "By the way, Miss, if y'are here for any reason other than entry, ge'out!" His voice was loud and stern, a large change from his tone with Bonnie.

Akio smiled brightly at Mikey. "Well, I promised immediate entry for musicians, and you seem well enough. Why not come inside with me? It is faster this way, I guarantee."

Okay, time for awesome scene-setting powers. I saved this part for last because it'll be super fun! Beyond the scary black iron gates was the large castle. It looked very ordinary in its construction, but everyone in the kingdom knew of the prince and duchess' wacky tastes. There had to be something in there of interest... The large doors were already opened, as it was assumed if you made it past the gate, you were meant to be there, so Bonnie could go right in if she'd like. A small breeze picked up, carrying with it a terrible chill and the scent of blood... Unless that was just imagined. After all, this was something everyone was taught to fear.
Bonnie Marie (played by nav_kat)

Clearing her throat, she stood to her feet, her hood back over her head, hiding her eyes and green hair. T'was un-natural.
Walking in, she emitted a sigh as she felt the breeze fly by. Looking around, she was in slight awe at how big it was, she knew it'd be big, but.. most defiantly not this big.
Finding a seat, she sat down, feeling slightly unsettled, though, she was in the living quarters of the prince, so, she sat up straight, a firm, perfect posture.
Mikey nodded, and followed Aiko. Mikey looked around at the castle and the gates as he followed, and he noticed the sent of blood, and it made him feel quite thirsty, but he ignored it for now.

There were people already inside the castle, all waiting to be officially greeted. There were a few rumors flying by about the prince possibly being captured, killed by the Red Death, or something of the like, since some people had been there all day without so much as a glimpse of the strange and elusive man. Of course, they were just rumors. He was right outside if anyone cared enough to look!

Akio lead Mikey around the castle and to a special staircase elevated a few feet off the ground. One had to push a crate or something in front of it to actually get onto the stairs. There was one already there, as this was the stairway Akio had used to go greet Mikey. He climbed on the crate, then onto the first stair. He climbed a few more to give Mikey some space to climb on before turning to watch his new acquaintance.

Letting out a sigh, she fidgeted with her hands, seeing a small spark of illumination appear.
She instantly clamped her hands shut, looking around the room.
