Ajax was beyond excited for this year's Halloween. It was the only time of the year when he could scare people, dress up like a goof with his friends, and not get scolded for it. Sure, he's done these things normally in the past, like that time he had dressed up as a pirate to school in July, only to be yelled at by his teachers because of how intolerable he was. It was a dare, however, and the boy just couldn't go without doing it. Nonetheless, he had waited the whole year for this day, and he sure went over the top with it. His house, a modern two story abode, was currently covered head to toe with cobwebs and toilet paper. It looked almost like a senior prank kids did to mess with their teachers, but this was intentional. There were several stickers lining along the upstairs and downstairs windows, accompanied by some "fake blood" that crept its way down the glass, with several handprints joining it.
Ajax himself was currently inside his house, finishing up the rest of his decorations. The boy was placing several pumpkins around his house, and soon made his way outside with five more pumpkins, along with a small smoke machine. Placing two pumpkins outside of his door, the boy smiled contently to himself, happy with the carvings. He walked towards his driveway to where a small folding chair was located, setting two of his pumpkins at either side of it. He rested the smoke machine at the right side of his chair, and quickly flipped the switch, watching as smoke had soon began to pour out of it, roaming towards the streets in an attempt to lure trick-or-treaters his way. Embedded in the smoke machine was a small speaker that was currently blasting Michael Jackson's, "Thriller," all throughout the streets, it being one of Ajax's favorite songs. It also helped set the mood in the Halloween theme, so that was a bonus. Ajax held on to his remaining pumpkin and walked out to where his mailbox was, plopping the small decoration down next to it, admiring the small carving details he had managed to create outside of it. Ajax hopped back inside his house and grabbed a large bowl that was adorned with spooky decorations, walking to his kitchen and grabbing several bags of treats. He ripped them open and poured the candies inside of the bowl until it was full, skipping back outside and setting his bowl down at the other side of his chair. He quickly sprinted back inside and grabbed his Halloween costume, it being just a sheet with two holes poked out at eye level. Of course Ajax would be the kind to go all out with his house and treats, only to have the stupidest but most generic costume idea: a ghost. Hopefully the trick-or-treaters would have way better costumes than him, but he was a teenager, after all. Being cheap was his deal.
Ajax smiled brightly at the costume, slipping it over his head and walking back outside, sitting down on his chair and waiting until any trick-or-treaters would arrive. He knew his friend would be coming over to help pass out candy, since she was mostly the energetic kind who would invite kids over. It was funny, however, because she wasn't too fond of people in general. It always made Ajax laugh. Hopefully he'd get a whole lot of scares tonight. He was really looking forward to mess with people, though at the same time, he always liked being generous and handing out those King Size candy bars, watching how the eyes of children always lit up at that, as if they were handed a slice of heaven. In their eyes, it probably was. Maybe he could do a combination of tricks and treats.
In other words, he'd make this Halloween the best one yet.
Deliah Driscoll (played by irritatedinc)

Deliah Driscoll had been anticipating Halloween since she had seen the decorations in the stores. She had heard people complain about how Halloween was a month away, and wonder why the decorations had been put out in the beginning of August. But she wasn't complaining. No, she was buying every Halloween item on sale before anyone else got their dirty hands on it. And before the items were back to full price again. She had ran back to her home and decorated the place, even though she wasn't going to stay there. She didn't want to look like a loser. She had cobwebs and green goo running down the walls, along with ghosts hung in the windows, made to look like actual people. She had set up a few witch cauldrons outside, with green smoke coming out of them, along with putting a few scarecrows on her lawn. The simple house she had previously lived in with her parents had been transformed into a Trick-or-Treaters' one-stop candy shop. She was rather proud of the place.
Her most recent dilemma was deciding on a costume. She had wanted to go as a witch, but decided against it, since the costume was widely overused and didn't seem to fit the style she was looking for. A devil would've worked to, or a zombie, or a vampire. All overused, though. She had been looking in the stores and online shopping for days, trying to figure out the perfect costume she had used. She had even spent her social studies time writing down costume ideas she got from other kids. She just couldn't think of the perfect costume for her. She wanted it to be something funny, that no one had ever thought of. And she still had no ideas at the end of every night. Once in her social studies class, however, she had brainstormed the most brilliant idea and almost laughed aloud.
Now, currently, she was slipping on the button-up tan overcoat, white shirt, black pants, fancy shoes and white curly wig. She had to look up about whether her inspiration had worn glasses, and sure enough, they had. She had easily found a pair in her dad's room, silently telling herself that he wouldn't mind because she would return them at the end of the night. Hopefully.
Her parents had agreed to take her baby brother out trick-or-treating, and trusted her to guard the house while they were gone. Her mom had decided to dress up as a vampire, while her dad was a werewolf, both costumes which she frowned upon, but bit back her tongue. Her baby brother, however, was in a dragon onesie, which would've been an adorable sight to anyone walking the streets. Deliah, however, had suggested to let him eat a lighter for good measure, and had been scolded heavily for it.
As her parents left, she had picked up her phone, a bag of Candy to keep herself occupied, silly string, and an airhorn. She had stuffed in in to the tan bag she carried and closed the door of her house, putting a giant cauldron outside with candy, along with a sign that read 'Don't touch the Snickers, brats'. Just in case. Now, walking a few blocks down the street, she spotted the most extravagant house on the street, and snickered at the sound of 'Thriller' by Michael Jackson playing. Hiding her face, she walked towards the house, getting close enough to the male. Before he even had a chance to speak, she took out the airhorn, blasting it right in his face, and grinning at his reaction.
"Happy Halloween, my fellow spoop." She added while flailing her arms, taking a seat on the arm of the chair. It must have been a strange sight for her friend, and especially for kids walking down the streets. George Washington sitting on the arm of a lawn chair, next to a budget-cut ghost, with an airhorn and some silly string.
"Greet your president, fool."

Ajax had been waiting for any sort of victim to approach his house, so he could give them a small scare, followed by a generous amount of candy. If he were a candy, he'd probably be a Sour Patch Kid. As the phrase went, 'They're sour, then sweet."
He didn't expect the victim card to be played on him, however. He jumped once hearing the air horn blast through his ears, though relaxed when he noticed the prank had been played by the very person he was waiting for, none other than George Washington. Ajax snickered at the costume and remark, before grabbing several candy bars and handing them over to the girl.
"I think the term you're looking for is, 'Trick or Treat,' but I'll let it side juuuust this once, oh great pres'." He joked, grabbing another piece of candy and unwrapping it, before taking a bite out of the sweet. Ajax smiled at the chocolatey taste, before scanning his friend's costume.
"I'd expect nothing more from a theater kid. You here to help me pass candy out to these kids? Your personality would really fit in with M.J.'s singing." He explained, clicking his tongue and offering some alternating finger guns at the girl.
"Nobody's come yet, so you're the first. I thought the smoke machine would be enough, but I guess I needed a Deliah too." He added with a smile, though it not being present due to the sheet draped over his head. He knew his friend could tell when he was smiling, though, since it was a constant for his face to just be happy all the time.

The girl smiled at her friend's reaction, before taking a bite out of the candy he had given her. She shrugged at his comment, allowing a smirk to play on her face. "And I believe the term you're looking for is 'Hello your majesty', but I'll let it slide juuuust this once." She winked, snickering and taking a bite of the Milky Way bar she was given. She would've just given the kids a bag of candy corn and told them to get off her doorstep, but she figured Ajax was a little bit better with children than she was.
She nodded to his next comment, letting her eyes roam the premises. Her eyes scanned over the windows, walls, and over the general decorations adorning the once simple two-story house. She nodded in approval, before glancing at the boy. He had gone all out of his house, only to cut out holes in a sheet and put it over his head as a costume. Likewise, Deliah had gone all out of her costume, and had decorated the house with whatever she found.
Standing up after his last comment, she grinned mischievously, setting her back down, and grabbing the airhorn and some silly string. "First of all, we're gonna need a dope party song." She started. Strolling over to the small speaker and hooked her phone up to it, grinning and scrolling through her songs. She finally settled on the Terry Folds song, smirking when it started blasting throughout the streets. She located a car near the house and climbed on top of it, looking at all of the kids walking down the streets.
"Listen up, suckers! We got a Halloween bananza goin' over here! Lights, music, enchantment!" She yelled, spraying the silly string around for extra measure. "Not to mention, the best candy in town!"
"Become slighty less-chumpy at Ajax Connors' Spoopy House! Where you can meet the prez'!" She finished, jumping off the car and taking a seat back on the arm of the lawn chair. "Boosh, fool."

Tonight was certainly a night. It would have been ideal for conducting villainous activities... or... it could have been an opportunity to actually walk around in public as the nefarious 'Weaver' as a civilian instead. There was a sense of thrill to it when Emily really thought about it. A lot of people were into the idea of accurate cosplays, it would have been fun to actually run into others that shared that kind of appreciation at the very least... but if not, ah well.

There was still always going around and doing the 'trick-or-treat' thing that seemed to be 'the thing' this particular holiday. In France, it was something that hardly happened during Samhain or All Hallow's Eve. Instead, there were some private parties, but never really anything for kids unless parents put it together for their kids and friends of their kids.

Walking along the pathways, Emily soon spotted what looked like two individuals sitting upon the porch. Smiling under her mask, she started her way over, giving a small wave.

"Bonjour~" Emily greeted. "'Appy 'alloween~ Enjoying yourselves? I have been looking forward to do this 'trick-or-treat' activity. By chance are you partakers in this holiday tradition?"

Ajax seemed to be rather impressed at what his friend had managed to do, and snickered once she had spoken and sat back down on the arm of his chair. He gave her a small applause after she spoke, and soon enough, they had gotten their first trick-or-treater. Ajax smiled under the sheet and watched as the person had approached them, admiring her mask for a moment, as it looked way better than a simple blanket draped over his head. But then again, anything did.
He heard her comment and thought for a second, before deciphering the greeting as French. Though his facial expressions couldn't be seen from under the white sheet, that didn't stop Ajax from happily smiling at the girl and nodding at her question.
"You've found the right place, madame." He replied back, reaching down to his bowl and grabbing several candy bars, handing it over to the girl.
"Happy Halloween." He added with a smile.

From beneath her mask, Emily's brow rose in surprise. She was being offered the candies with seemingly no ulterior motive! That was certainly strange as far as she was concerned. She was cautious about accepting the candy bars, though once they were in her possession, she tucked them away in a pouch that was on her belt and smiled to herself.

"Ouh lá lá! Merci pour les bonbons, monsieur!" Emily chirped almost excitedly, the fact that she was taken aback affecting her train of thought in that moment. Part of her also reverted to that 'nice girl' act that she so often adopted when she was dealing with her modelling agents and the general public that knew who she was without the suit and mask.

"Ah... s-sorry. What I mean is thanks for the candy. We don't really get this holiday back where I'm from. Anyways, good evening to you all. Enjoy the rest of your night. Both of you!" Emily said, waving to the two individuals and turning to depart the premises so that she could see if there were other houses that were also giving out sweets for the trick-or-treating.

Deliah had watched as their first trick-or-treater had strolled up to them with curiosity, offering a smile and a greeting to both of them. She held up a peace sign, but didn't say anything, instead offering a smile in the girl's direction. She watched as Ajax had handed over a couple bars of candy, seeing that there were no Snickers in the handful he had given, and almost sighing in relief.
She grinned at the girl, having noticed her accent in the previous greeting. 'French, I guess.' She thought, before hearing her excitement leave her with a cheerful 'thank you' in French. At least, Deliah thought it was a 'thank you.' She didn't really speak French, so it was hard to say what she had just said.
At noticing her complexion redden, Deliah's smile grew into an almost-cheerful, but still-sardonic grin. She shrugged off her apology, nodding to her once more, watching as she had walked off with probably the first memory to her new favorite holiday of the year.
"Welp. We just made dreams come true. I feel like a saint." She grinned, side-glancing her friend for feedback.

Ajax had grinned through the whole interaction, slightly tilting his head at the girl's excited comment, though only smiling once more once she had translated her thoughts. He gave her a wave and watched as she had left, before turning his head back to his friend, chuckling at her remark.
"I know.. I guess she never celebrated Halloween before, huh?" He asked her with a grin, before reaching back into his candy bowl and unwrapping another treat, taking a small bite out of the chocolate.
"Can't wait to spread more happiness. That, or we could always trick someone by giving them a wasabi Kit Kat bar." He spoke in between bites, snickering at himself and nodding.
