It would be nice if with each character we could provide to more "search key tips" that would help us fine people of particular verses. It could be an optional thing.

Some ways to search enclude
Email name
Account name (ex- maneki-neko)
Genre (fantasy,adventure,horror,crossover etc)
Verses specified verse if you have a cannon character.

Thats the only things i can think of for character look up. It's a lot easier then posting in a LF rp forum.
It would also provide a much more organized system. And it would be optional.

Any further suggestions to this can be added if anyone could think of additional things.

Hi! If I'm understanding you correctly, some of these options are already possible. You can add custom categories to help people find your characters by going into your character's settings (this icon) and using the Categories option here:



To search for other people's characters by genre, try using this tool and clicking on the 'Choose categories' bar. A list will appear showing different genres you can pick, or you can type a keyword into the bar and see what user submitted categories show up.

By verses do you mean books/shows/games? You can add those to your character by using the Game Tags option underneath the Categories option. It looks like this:

Just to elaborate, searching by email would not only be impractical, it also brings about a lot of questions regarding safety on the site. We typically only use email addresses to sign up with and get notifications on, sharing and searching by email address brings about lots of increased security risks (especially concerning stalkers) and privacy issues in general.

As for account/username, you'd only be able to see someone's public characters anyway. You can visit someone's profile at any time and look at their characters, no search function necessary.
