The gates between Gahenna and Akeila have weakened, the paths slowly re-built. the Ahadraq have begun creeping through the cracks, widening them with every passage. The Byaan, the traditional protectors of Akeila, have thinned severely in number over the millennia. There are no longer enough of their great race to keep the darkness from enveloping the whole of the dimension.
Tarryn remembers the last time the Ahadraq came to Akeila with a clarity that applies to few of her other memories. Her life extended unnaturally by a clumsily made oath of revenge, she sees that she may finally have a way out of her tired life of loneliness and heartache.
