It's been 13 long, dreadful years since things have started falling into chaos. Gruesome skirmishes out in the Corrupted. A rotting environment in the world above. Many resources dwindling. Many animals have been wiped to extinction, too. Cities have crumpled. It seems as though none of it could return.
And it seems as thought everyone's hopes and dreams of restoring the world have been vanquished, too...
Well, maybe not everyone's hopes and dreams.
You, and countless others, live underground, where everything is safe. Humanity is thriving, and a few animals have managed to make it underground and repopulated. Some plants have managed to grow, but there is no sunlight to light up the underground; only torches. It is not the perfect shelter, but it is better than living outside in the Corruption; a now dreadful world outside. Surviving out there is extremely difficult, and those who've tried failed to thrive.
You, and a small amount of others have noticed how people have settled to the underground. How they have given up to restore the world they had reigned above. How they don't even attempt to regain at least the tiniest fraction of it outside. But not you. And you're determined to regain the world you've once known.
Grouping up with others who also want to regain the world, you've all ventured out into the world of the Corruption. Leaving the safety of the underground behind, you travel throughout this hellish wasteland with companions, struggling to save the world.
"The Last Hopes & Dreams" is like a survival, modern-ish (emphasis on that 'ish') roleplay, with maybe a little magic, where you take on the role as a supposed 'savior of the world.' You must survive throughout whatever challenges you face as you attempt to destroy this Corruption, and free the world from all the impurity it has caused on the surface.
If you succeed, the world can be rebuilt to what it once was.
If you fail.. you could imagine what would happen next.
Will you be humanity's hopes and dreams, and be saviors of the world? Or will you perish like the rest of those who've tried?
I will take control of Carter Buenvidez for this roleplay.

Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.

2 questions:
1) Will this be group or one on one roleplay? It sounds like it has potential for a group role play but I don't think that's what you're aiming for.
2) I don't have any humans in my list of characters. Does that count me out from this roleplay? It sounds interesting but a lot of the characters I play aren't "Human". Figured I'd ask.

Answer 1: I'm trying to aim this for a group roleplay.
Answer 2: Well, it all depends on your set of characters. As of typing this, I haven't browsed through your characters (yet), but if your character(s) have a good of amount of human inside them (e.g., half human), then I can make an exception. As it says in my form, it says that magic is supposedly at the 20% mark, indicating that there is somewhat of sorcery in here, but it's not exactly common, nor as 'powerful' as in the past (or at least, how I think of it to be). If you don't want to add any human-ness to your character, then that's perfectly fine! If your characters have magic though, just have it toned down in a way, where it's like it's been lost to the passage of time.
But, all of that is up to you!

May I join, I got a onesize-fitsall character. I'm pretty sure he can fit in, if it's allowed to be a cyborg, also he can teleport short distances. Is he ok?

If this is still open I have a character with a little bit less than 50% Kinda, we may have to compromise a little. {Just shoot me a PM and we can talk about her there, that's something I would like rather then talk about it here.} Another thing, this is an amazing RP and I feel like it would be very interesting and fun.
