In the thick of the metropolis, an old run down clock tower sat on the corner of an intersection that was neither dead nor overly busy. The street lights cast shadows on the seemingly dilapidated structure, throwing into sharp relief the boarded up windows and the graffiti sprayed bricks on the outside.

Any other night the structure would have gone unnoticed. Creatures without a knack for spotting the supernaturally contrived would simply walk past, not giving the small building and it’s tower with the large clock a second thought. If they had, little fingers of trepidation would have slowly crept up their spine and their self-preservation instinct would have kicked into overdrive. No one should have wanted to go inside.

But not tonight. It was All Hallows Eve, and the ancient magic of the holiday lifted the curtain for spirits and sundry to walk amongst the regular occupants of the world. It also weakened the facades put up by those of the supernatural persuasion, who were already living in the world. The wards that had been put in place to drive away the curious and brave were weakened, for this one night.

Such was the case with the clock tower on the corner. Tonight, it suddenly wasn’t so mundane and foreboding. Tonight it vaguely reflected that it had been fixed up and was serving as a residence instead of just an empty shell of it’s former self. Tonight the clock tower was keeping time for the children, and others, who ran through the streets in costume. However, on the inside, it wasn’t a very different night for the two demons that had converted the tower into a home. The outer shell with its rundown and scary appearance definitely did not reflect the warm, albeit rather dark, interior.

Sitting on a large black leather couch in the middle of a spacious room that sported darkly stained oak wood floors and deep purple walls with flecks of antique gold over the paint. The two occupants were curled up on the over stuffed cushions watching the Halloween specials that had played continuously over the last few days. They seemed fairly unaware or perhaps just uninterested in the merry making outside of their walls and boarded up windows, which on the inside were draped with thick black satin fabric to keep out any light that might attempt to sneak through the spaces between the boards.

Iza,a pale demon with amber eyes and long white hair was curled up into the side of Asphyx, a larger demon with black eyes and red iris, and long black hair. They seemed quite the opposite, curled up in front of the large TV screen, but their body language was quite comfortable. Iza arched a brow at the television screen as the young woman crab walked down the stairs, “I can’t think of a single demon that would actually do that… unless they were so horribly bored there was nothing else to do.” She said to her mate, as she leaned forward and picked up another piece of pizza from the large box on the black coffee table. “I mean, that takes a lot of dexterity to get a human to do that… most demons that have to possess humans just aren’t that strong.” She paused and took a bite of cheesy pizza and leaned back into her mate’s body. She shook her head at what happened next, “Humans have over active imaginations…”

Ayoka (played anonymously)

As the clock tower faded into view, one dark skinned girl took particular notice of the new addition to the city's skyline. The air smelled like magic as she skipped toward it -- though there's something rather loping about the way she skips.

Emerging from the alley where she's been making her home, she stumbles upon a group of small children skittering past with costumes and bags full of candy. Momentarily distracted, she follows, and is surprised to discover that simply for standing at the back of the group when they ring a doorbell she is awarded with a handful of candy. Her ears perk with excitement, shifting the baggy hat that is meant to hide them.

Several more houses and she's got a bag full of candy -- or more precisely, a skirt full, as she holds her skirt up like an apron to receive these offerings. Behind her, her layered skirts and the shawls that are tied around her waist are wiggling wildly, unable to fully conceal the wagging of her tail. Strangers compliment her on the animatronics she's using in her costume to "simulate" some creature's tail. She smiles, but doesn't understand.

As the group of children, and the out-of-place teen approach the clock tower, the other children peel off. But Ayoka lopes directly to its door, and confidently knocks.
Asphyxiate (played by Shame)

Halloween? He wasn't really understanding of the whole concept of the whole...candy idea. But children... Hadn't he opted out of going near children due to circumstances?

Shadow's chattered and scurried around the upper floors of the tower, and hung against the couch and some clung to the shoulders of the woman. Dangling from decorations, and wandering around excited from the energy that was arise outside, all those things that go bump in the dark were on the prowl as well as humans. The tasty, tasty humans that they had been very wary of, but not as of late, due to the fact that the woman, that evil woman, had started feeding their host human food, such as pizza. Ick, it wasn't quite what they expected, but oh well.

Asphyxiate had his arm around Iz and tugged her closer as the T.V. continued to ramble on about Monsters such as Werewolves, Vampires and other such things that go bump in the night. Was he too, a monster too? As she spoke about the woman crab walking, he hadn't come across one demon in his era that ould posses such a weakness, usually most of the stronger demons just ate the humans... But perhaps he just wanted fun. "That demon must be rather bored..." he laughed lowly, shaking his head. He never really understood the concept of T.V. Either, if you wanted to watch something entertainting, go out and watch the humans for a bit, they were quite facinating on their own.

However, he stopped. His long ears twitching, making the rings clink together as the door downstairs was knocked upon, he looked to her, "Did you order more pizza?" he questioned her, you never really know. His clock-heart ticked loudly, as he stood.

Darkened bones curved with the ancient scriptures carved into the horns that protruded forward, his darkened eyes with the reddened orange iris' looked to the woman as the shadow nibbled on a piece of the meat from the pizza, watching it spit it out in disgust, he laughed lowly as his scarred hands moved to grab her hand, the large sharpened nails tickled against the flesh. "So, these children when are they going to arive?" he hummed lowly, the long, dark locks pulled up into a pony tail, hanging over his shoulder.

She blinked when he asked her if she had ordered more pizza, handing a different little piece of meat to the shadow from her pizza. Maybe they liked beef better than ham? "Uh nope. I didn't order more pizza... I figured two larges should have been enough." She dropped her slice back into the box when he took her hand and she stood up to follow him.

She glanced around at one of the clocks that hung in the hall as they made their way towards the door, "That should probably be them actually. It's getting late enough."

Even though he had taken her hand, it was she that tugged him towards the front door. Though he didn't seem to believe her that people could see him yet, she made him go anyway. "Come on, maybe some of them will be dressed up as you." She said with a laugh, teasing him as she picked up the bowl of candy from the chair she'd stuck by the door, she opened it and stood back quietly.

Glancing over the young girl before her, she immediately knew that she wasn't a human teenager. Iz could read it in the energy coming off of her. But she'd never seen anything like her either, she smiled happily as she held out the bowl. She and Asphyx were a couple of demons for the gods sakes, like they were going to discriminate against a child of non-human origin, "Happy Hallows, what would you like?"

She isn't so young -- perhaps 18, perhaps 20, although the manic grin on her face and the way that she shifts uncertainly often have her perceived as a great deal younger. As soon as the door opens, her skirt starts wiggling again as her tail goes crazy. She brandishes her apron full of candy at the demoness in the doorway.

It takes her a moment to remember what to say. "Trick or treat?" This is her first time saying it herself. Previously she just stood at the back of a group of children and waited for the goods to be passed out. A tiny flash of fangs is visible as she speaks.

With a slight laugh, and a glance over her shoulder at Asphyx she looked back to the girl and rested the candy bucket against her hip. Iz looked to be in her early 20's... considering that she was well into her mid 3,000's she was doing quite well for her age. "What trick can you do for a treat?" She asked sneakily. Smiling a smile that was normal for the most part, only a slight sharpening of her canines was visible... if you looked closely enough. Tilting her head to the side, pale white curls fell over her shoulder and incandescent amber eyes locked on to the evidence of a swishing tail... what on earth? She arched a brow as she looked back up to the girl's face again then back to Asphyx. As if to say, 'some interesting creatures were walking this world...'

Ayoka's eyes shifted between the two in the apartment, curious a and excited. When asked to a trick, she grins, flashing her fangs, and then slinks close to Izabet, attempting to brush her cheek against the other woman's in a thorough violation of personal space. It's sort of like she's nuzzling.

The moment skin-to-skin contact is made, a pleasant warmth spreads from the point of contact, and a giddiness almost like being tipsy flows through the girl. At first, it's just a tingle, but with every moment it's allowed to continue the rush gets stronger. Behind her, her tail is going absolutely crazy.

Iz seemed a little surprised at the sudden invasion of her space. With a little laugh she patted the girl on the shoulder. Being what she was, Iz wasn't overly affected by the girl's trick with the nuzzling. She got that kind of feeling just by being in the presence of genuinely happy people. Glancing up at Asphyx, to make sure he was alright though her space had been invaded, she smiled as if to say everything was alright before she looked back at the little...vampire puppy? She couldn't help but adore the strange breed, and she held up the bucket, "Take your pick, love."

With a happy laugh, Ayoka grabs a fistful of candy from the bucket. As soon as her fingers curl around the sweets, she hops backward several paces and freezes on the stoop, her ears laid back under the cap and her wide eyes watching Izabet to see if she's going to protest the unfair amount of candy that was taken by this one visitor.

Assuming no scolding is forthcoming, about three seconds later Ayoka perks right back up, resumes wagging her tail, and puts the candy into her apron. "Thanks! You're so nice!" the girl practically chirps, then goes scampering off gleefully.
