Hey, I'm looking for at most 4 other people to role play with. You don't have to have avian hybrids as your OCs. Other animals and even pure humans are acceptable as characters.

There will be no real set place in the book's story-line yet as to when this takes place until after the introduction of each character's been done. I like to collaborate, so the starting point will depend on us all. I'm not too picky.

When you make your OC, please no God-moding, Mary-, or Gary-Sues. They can have one or two abilities, but don't make 'em invincible or anything. Give them some weaknesses, or even phobias if you prefer. And if you don't already have a character made for this type of rp, then just put up a character sheet. I'll put one of my own up as an example.

Age: roughly 16 to 17
Gender: female
Species: human-bat hybrid
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 90 lbs
Body type: lean, fit, thin, almost frail looking
Hair: dark brown,almost black
Eyes: gold-ish brown
Likes: food, night sky, moon, silence, loud rock music, stealing shiny objects
Dislikes: adults, authority figures, rules
Abilities (if any): Can use echo-location|| like the Flock kids, her eye sight is far beyond that of a normal persons, but only when it isn't very bright outside as she sees better in the dark than daylight|| stronger than a human like the flock, but bones can be broken very easily due to their hollowness|| has quick reflexes|| incredible hearing, but also highly sensitive ears||
Extras: She has four pronounced fangs and wings like a bat, but also very easy to rip as they are very thin. Her eyes turn red when she's angry or mad, and she occasionally has to drink blood to survive. The School once ran an experiment on her where they deprived her of blood for over a week and a half, and locked her in a room with five Erasers. She woke up injured, but the only living body left.
Val can be stunned if high frequency noises are played within her hearing range, or bright (usually UV) lights are shined in her eyes. This leaves her dazed and disoriented for some time, as well as defenseless. The institution taught her how to fight even in pain, but due to having brittle bones, her training only goes so far; however, don't let her mouse-like characteristics fool you. This girl has a rebellious streak in her that's constantly getting her into trouble with the Lab Coats.

Oh my god, I really fell in love with that book! I am so glad to see that someone is wishing to create a RP based on it! But I only know the basics of the story, sadly I only got the chance to read a comic adaptation of the book, but the story is technically the same I think.

If you are still down for it, I could probably create a character (since its Christmas’s I got so much time, ahah).
I would be interested to know more about the story; would it be like in the book or do you have something different in mind? I’d be glad to hear more about you

It wasn't going to be like in a specific book that this takes place, because that makes setting options highly limited. So long as you have the basic knowledge of the characters, their abilities, and so on, that's fine! ^-^

Feel free to make your OC. I have plenty of time as well while I'm looking for a job. And I stay up really late due to severe insomnia. Like right now, it's 6:30 AM, and I haven't slept since my nap this afternoon after not sleeping last night either.

Well, I know the main conflict, that’s a start! I’ll have to read the comic again to get back in the mood, should not be a problem~

Is the story going to be linked with the real story or not? Like is there going to be Max, Jebb, Iggy, Angel and the others? Or is it going to be an original one? Don’t mind my questions, I’m such a curious person~

I was hoping to link 'em with the original characters at one or more points in the rp. Since Jeb was one of the main scientists, I was going to have him associate with a few of our OCs as well.

Okok, because since I don’t really think that the comic is exactely like the book, I’m a bit anxious about my « knowledge» of the characters.

Anything within reason. Like if you want an aquatic animal, it would be difficult if they have to stay in the water 24/7. No mythical creatures, though, as Maximum Ride is all loosely based on science, itself. Reptiles, avian, mammals, insects; all of those work, you know? No real limit so long as it's real. ^-^
