Athena woke up quickly and ran into the kitchen to make her breakfast before she was late for school. She quickly ate her eggs and toast and ran out the door with her backpack swinging, and hitting her back with everytime she jumped on eachfoot.

As Athena nears the sidewalk at the end of her driveway a girl, Brayleigh, is suddenly sprinting down the sidewalk at top speed. As she passes her book bag falls off her left shoulder, swinging dangerously close to Athena, but Brayleigh doesn’t stop to look at her, continuing to run while awkwardly reshouldering the bag.

Austin walked slowly towards the school. He didn't like running because people said he looked woird, so he walks. He spotted Athena and Brayleigh"H-Hey! Athena!"He tried to run and catch up with her, but ended up falling flat on his face.

Jacqueline noticed the guy on the floor, she walked up to him, "Hey, are you okay?" she asks, looking at the boy and offering a hand.

He groaned and looked at her, he had cuts all over his face and a bloody nose"I-I don't know..."

She pulls out a tissue and hands it to him, "Here," she offers, "I think you need it,"

He took it and wiped the blood off of his face, leaving big cut visible"t-thanks"

"No problem," she replies, holding out her hand, "I'm Jacqueline, nice to meet you," she greets.

He took her hand"I'm Austin"

Jacqueline smiled warmly, "I was wondering if after school you could show me around," she asks, "I'm an orphan and new around here,"

"S-sure"he grabbed his backpack and put it back on

It was hard not to notice Jacqueline's katana behind her back as she entered the school building. Ever since her parents died, she searched for a new place to live, which was here.

He stood there, not moving at all"woah..."

Jacqueline noticed his expression as she pulled out the shiny white katana, "This?" she asks. "It's just for self defense,"

He stepped back"O-oh..."
