When you welcome new players, do you have to use your player name? Or can you use a character? And..if you welcome them with a character that is anon, do you still get the accolade?

I mean, I know it's more personable in a sense, to use your actual player profile, but, I'm a weird fish of privacy. Plus, I know it sounds counter-productive, but then I do not have to worry about them asking me for RP through my player profile if I use an anon character.

More or less, I want the ability to just welcome them but not necessarily invite them for RP with myself. Like, no pressure, you know? It really does give me anxiety in the thought of welcoming someone to the site and conversing with them for a bit and then giving some unspoken expectation we might RP based on similar interests :(

Long rambly post. I apologize. I don't really want a run down of why it's better to welcome them with my player profile. I just want to know if I -have- to and if I don't..if I don't get the accolade? I've been wanting to welcome people for so long...but the above stated reasons is what stops me. Expectation. Pressure..of not being able to do it with anonymity.

Yes, you can do it with a character, and yes, you will still be eligible for receiving the accolade at the end of the month regardless of which of your "entities" you did the welcoming with. :)

You are under no obligation to RP with anyone you welcome, and if they do ask, feel free to just let them know you're full up on RPs right now and point them to the Find RP search tool :)
