So, I've noticed some people have theme songs for their characters. I was wondering..if your character had a theme song, what would it be, and how would you determine it?

I really can't get this at all. I don't think there's any songs that describe my character. The only time I've tangled with character theme songs is when I heard 'Killer' by Plain White T's. The moment I heard it I knew it fit my friend's character perfectly. I told her about it and she made it her character's themesong.

I've never done a themesong for my own character.

I edited together a few pieces of Star Wars music for Lord Darth Angelus, does that count?

Sadly, composing is not something I can do, otherwise I'd probably have themes for every character

I don't really get it either, but I'd like to. I think it's neat. And while I do do some composing myself (mostly playing around with my piano), I don't really think I could come up with something for any of my characters.

And yeah, darth, I think that counts.. xD

Minato Lockhart- Hatebreed: I Will Be Heard Reason: Cause Minato is currently evolving from a weak easy pushover adolescent to one refusing to let anyone or anything stand in his way.

Kyle Lockhart- Skillet:Monster Reason: Details in Kyles backstory (coming soon) but Kyle is a being who actually has two souls. His second soul of which turns him from a chill laid back guy and strict teacher to a ravenous bloodthirsty killing machine who craves absolute destruction. For the most part Kyle can control that soul but sometimes it slips loose.

Lazaras Bulavarte- Devils Never Cry Reason:he is a demon who after seeing the fragility of mankind began to despise what he was and began fighting his own kind.

Alex Lockhart- Disturbed: Indestructable Reason: He's a battle crazed maniac who's got the scars to prove his love of combat and thus far has only ever been beaten by one man and that's his own brother, Kyle.

Ambrose Crowley- HIM: Vampire Heart Reason: Being a vampire this song was very suited for him giving his relationship with his wife seems to be more of a relationship between estranged siblings as instead of showing affection towards one another they seem to hate one another though the love is there even if it's buried under layers of bitterness.

Mink is probably Silent Pain
Her first (and last) love was sacrificed to a cult's god while she was made to watch. Not long after, she was bitten by a vampire. She's been grieving ever since, though she's told no one. (shh, it's a secret, pretend I didn't tell you guys that..)

Zasha (who I just came up with today) could be Farewell
She died of cancer, then her body was stolen by grave robbers who brought her back to life to see if they could, but when she came back all she wanted to do was kill..it took a heavy toll on her, knowing she would never be able to see her husband or son again, knowing she would want to slaughter them.

I go with the sound rather than lyrics. Still... this is Burke's theme. He is sadistic, likes to taunt people as he torture then, and the first half of this song just fits so well. Mostly the music part. It's hard to find lyrics that fit my characters (even though the guy talks in the same way as Burke, even using words like jubilee.)

I don't so much have themesongs for each character, but whole playlists that I listen to while RPing them <,<

Ditto here. Those were just the songs that fit the characters best. I could post up my entire RPing playlist. Heh.

I agree, Seraphic. (really wanted to call you Star, but didn't know if you'd get offended). Usually music without words remind me of my characters, as you'll see if you follow those links I posted.. xD

Yeah, I can see having a playlist for each character. I hadn't really thought about any of this until now. I usually listen to whatever's stuck in my head or sounds good while I'm RPing.

My characters tend to have playlists, too! In fact, they are listed on their pages. But certain ones do have themes. Skallagrim's theme is most definitely Mark of the Bear by Battlelore. The song is about the Beornings from the Hobbit, and I'd be lying if I said Skallagrim wasn't inspired a lot by them. A very close second for him is the cover of Vulgaris Magistralis by Heidevolk. Both of these songs fit really well both in sound and in lyrics. (Vulgaris Magistralis is about runnin' around being a caveman. Riding on a mammoth. Yeeeeeeeahh!)

Ferrow's theme song is absolutely The Bard's Song by Blind Guardian.

this is all too easy for me.

My characters have playlists in my head. Rin's would be Numb or Perfect Insanity by Disturbed. Arlo actually has a fantastic voice and loooooves to sing and dance; hence the everybody dance now picture in his gallery. He's also part siren, or so he'll tell you and often ropes other people into his songs... so his playlist is vaaast. Also my cat characters ha e a kitty chorus who do covers... in meows...

I had too much time to think about this stuff in college.
