Hello All,
I believe that every writer puts a little bit of themselves within each character that they portray. I've been asked a time or two what aspects of my characters are actually from the real me. So I figured, this just might be an interesting game for people to play along...
You can choose one, five, or all of your characters to list. After that, choose one personality trait, pet peeve, anything really that you share with said character.
Also! If you know others who have posted, feel free to say if you agree or don't. I think this might be interesting to see
Remember to keep it friendly and clean 
I shall start:
Darko - Probably his loyalty to friends, willingness to die for loved ones, and also his secret nerdy side. (shhh...)
Jack - Definitely his spontaneity, his love for life and strong belief that it's too short to sit around. Dare him and he probably will do it (a bad habit of mine). Also his horrible jokes. I take full responsibility for those puns.
Braedan - His confidence, affinity for black, and charm (?) among other things.
Hartley - Oye... His workaholic nature, I must admit. Although, I do have to say we also share the same level of compassion in the work we do. Trying to change the reputation of the medical world by being a warm smile in an otherwise cold industry.
Corban - His sense of humor, sarcasm. And his love for leather jackets. Yep.

Obviously, I knew I was gonna do this.. because as a writer I do give my characters pieces and aspects of me. Usually I hand them a laundry list of flaws.. but always find myself surprised that they take the good things as well.
This was a little harder for me but - Enjoy my list (I may add stuff later)
Mikeayla - She is by far my oldest and was my main for over a decade. Her birthday, her stubbornness. Her flirty nature. Her Loyalty and dedication to friends and family. There is nothing she wouldn't do for them.
Maggie - Her Faith both in something bigger than herself and the good in the people around her. Maybe a little bit of her jadedness. Her love of books. Her culture and her pride in such a culture. Her independence. Her sarcasm and her playfulness
Sabina - (A lot of her negatives, LOL sorry Sabs) - Her love of nerdy things, her desire and ability to be more than just her illnesses. Probably her sweetness as well. Her absolute love of coffee. Her love of music. I'd like to think her fearlessness though through some of the things she's been put through I don't think I could ever be that brave. Her genuine nature..
Nymphe - His stubbornness. Part of his aggression and ability to just not care about shit. The logic that he comes back with after he's calmed down about something. His insight to watch a situation and evaluate. The way that he defends, and hangs onto the things he does love. His dedication to his loyalty. His mouth that gets him into trouble

I definitely believe pieces of yourself are in your characters. Some of my characters I used to help with things I might be dealing with in my life - usually indirectly but things bleed into my characters personalities and dna.
Linnaea - Introverted but outwardly trying to not be which may cause rambling when she meets friendly people.
Nat'Zol - Understands everyone has their demons, but that their demons should not define who they are. Also her loyalty and protective nature to those that she deems 'hers' is legendary.

Harriet, her scatterbrained nature and quick flitting from topic to topic are two things neither of us can truly help.
Juliette, his need to help others and stay in the middle ground away from conflict has always been something I value highly. When the world wars around you, someone must be the rock.
Novia, while many things are not shared with Novia one thing is true, we are both weird. Unendingly weird. Eat strange food because you can, think and say things that make others squirm, lose potential friends and not care at all because they should accept you for you, weird.
Roman, a sense of loyalty that grows quickly, is protected fiercely and neither I nor him feel the need to explain. When we like you we like you, when we don’t, we couldn’t care less.
Vera, is strange, but I share that with other characters, however she is also silly. Spinning till you fall down, shouting from the rooftops because you can, chewing on your little sisters head to show you love her silly. Not a day goes by that I am not told that I am a lighthearted goofball.
Virginia, Oddly enough the biggest thing Ginny and I share is that we have both worked as tailors. Beyond that there isn’t a lot beside the fact that we are both a touch overly formal and polite until we getting to know a person at which point we turn into a whole different monster.
Willy, It could be said that Willy is a hopeful woman, that she has an unbreaking optimism that allows her to see on the bright side even in the worst times. And that it is just such a thing that allows her to forgive just about anything or anyone. Something I tend to do, though maybe not to such an extream.
Felix, a fun loving, heavy drinking, good natured flake. Fiercely protective of the very few friend he has, he and I share a general devil may care personality, his however not mixed with a nature of being somewhat rigid.
