"Did you see Hanson walk into class with his shirt peeking through his fly?" Sufyan laughed sitting around a table with a group of people, laughing and imitating the embarrassing scenario like an idiot.

The noise in the common room generally came from his direction, whether it was winning or losing not so gracefully at pool or cards, or making himself look like an add in everyday life, either way he had an ego chalked full of confidence to go around.

This time it was about his teacher in college. He made fun of the way Mr Hanson arrived to class late and the bottom of his shirt sticking out of his fly. The group of friends and acquaintances laughed and giggled louder than anyone or anything else.

Vicky remembered vividly how when she got her letter to go to college, she had been both excited aswell as absolutely terrified. Packing had been one of the worst and best things in the world because she had to choose only the things that were necessary and anyone who knew her, knew that wasn't one of her strong suits since she was a bit of a control freak and wanted to make sure, always, that she was prepared for anything.

After settling in, she had to also meet people, being from belgium it was going to be a bit lonely, not that her english wans't good or that she was a social outcast, she just had trouble with big groups of people and new experiences. Some people would call her introvert if they heard that but she was neither intro or extra, actually she was both. As much as she loved to meet new people and be outgoing and crazy, she also needed her space and would get anxiety about new things or losing control in any situation possible. Being social was very tiring so after a couple of hours of being nice and funny, she would become quiet and retrieve to the safety of the inside of her bedroom, this being something that made people very confused and not want to hang out anymore because they didn't understand. How could she be so outgoing one minute and then the next not want to come out of her room for three days? Balance was key, a key most people who didn't really knew her, didn't get.

Anyway, after a couple of months fighting to get a decent shedule, balancing her studying and good grade but also her social life, you could say Vicky had become somewhat a pro at the whole going to uni thing. Ofcourse this might of had something to do with her excesive use of post-its, schedules, lists and constant need to be a controlfreak. Anyone who knew or talked to her knew that she meant business. This experience and once in a lifetime chance was not laughing matter.

It had been a calmer week, which was good to catch up or get ahead of schedule on studying so Vicky had decided to study in the common room with a couple of other people she had become more than just acquaintances. It would have been great if not for a bunch of loud obnoxious guys making too much noise.
Vicky had looked around and noticed other people rolling their eyes or whispering about the scene but why they didn't say anything was a mystery to her.
"If they don't shut the hell up, imma say something.." Vicky hissed at her company.
Her company, who knew her well enough by now, knew that if she did say something about it, it wasn't going to be pretty. Not that she was going to be rude, Vicky was just known as a very honest and sassy person. Her way with words could shut anyone up, this had been proven many times in debats in psychology classes.
"Oh, just let it go..." David said, being the easy going one in the group.
"You go girl, someone has to do it.." Eve said, she was a bit like vicky but not as open. She would leave it up to vicky because she was too scared to hurt anyones feelings, instead she'd state her feelings until someone else fixed it for her.
"I get that this is a common room but they don't have to hear you in spain..." Vicky hissed again.
After more loud laughter she snapped.
"That's it!" Vic sat up straight and looked at the group..

"Hey, if you yell any louder, the other side of campus will hear how obnoxious you are. Keep it down, people are trying to have a conversation here and others are studying. " She squinted and nodded fake friendly and turned back to her table.

For Sufyan, the freedom he recieved from leaving home has opened many new doors. Ofcourse, school is important but having fun was also important.

He was raised in an asian family with bans on what normal children and teens would have called freedom. Muslim families were harsh on younger generations. The Quran taught what to wear, eat, say and even touch. Sometimes Sufyan wanted to just hide way from his family when they'd forced him to pray and such.

As time furthured and Sufyan developed into an adult, he became more and more distant to his religion. what was once taught as norms he questioned and began to drift further and further away.

When the chance to go to college finally arrived, he took it in a heartbeat much to his familiy's dismay. They pleaded him to go somewhere close but his heart was set on a college far from the shackles of the toxicity he called a home. They may all love ech other and him but his family was anything but normal and depite how much he hated normal, he wished his family was...

He found like-minded idividuals here at college, maybe not completely with the same background but, those who thought playing is just as important as working. He was lucky Keith and Jefferson were his room mates. They were a great at lying their ways out of sticky situations, almost like the Weasly twins in Harry Potter except, more devious

When the little lady stood up and hissed at them and then turned back around, she gave him no chance to reply. Keith and Jeff looked at each other as if this was a fun change of events "Dude" Keith opened his mouth " that girl just flexed on you" he laughed, Suf gave him the yea yea whatever look. He got up and walked over to her "Hey, little miss hothead, I'm sorry or being loud but was that really necessary?" he asked trying to get her attention "I mean, it's not like we're in the library"

She couldn't believe that he actually walked over to her table. She gave an eyeroll to her company and a fake smile to the boy.
"You're kididng me right? I was just saying what everyone else was thinking. I mean if you had spend even a speck of a second looking around instead of listening to your own voice, which you love so much, you'd see that people were very annoyed with your behavior. And sure this isn't a library but still, some etiquette is never out of order." Again she moved to her friends, not wanting to give him any more attention but her friends were too distracted and just stared at the two of them.

"or maybe you just like to feel like everyone else thinks that, what are you a psychic?" he chuckled "Tell you what, how about give us all a break from hearing my voice and tell me about your psychic abilities over some coffee sometime?"
Victoria Kasri (played by Victoriantruth)

"Yeah, ill call you. What's your number ? 0800-NEVER GONNA HAPPEN" it was her turn to chuckle. The people at her table were watching the scene like it was a netflix movie, the only thing missing was a big bucket of popcorn.

"You're right especially since you're a hard ass, do you even have a funny bone on your body? are you afraid I might be too much for princess to handle?" he asked sitting besided her
Victoria Kasri (played by Victoriantruth)

"Princess?" She wasn't gonna have someone who didn't know her call her princess. "Look here, big mouth, you don't know anything about me. How about instead of trying to make an even bigger scene, you just be a bit more understanding. You don't have to be smart to respect others, yes even you, someone with the IQ of a pebble should be able to get that. How's that for funny bone.." She packed up her stuff and left the room.

He caught up to her and stood before her "I guess we're both not being respectful" he sighed "look what I'm really trying to say is I'm sorry, can we at least give each other a chance? anyway, It's almost time for class, I'm sorry again, seeya"

Just as he picked up his bag the bell rang "alright boys, interpersonal skills trainging" he said to Keith and Jeff who were looking at him like he had a death wish
Victoria Kasri (played by Victoriantruth)

She shrugged. Who did he think he was, he was the one yelling, being cocky. No she didn't wanna be friends with him.

A few days passed and she didn't see him, not that she was thinking about him. Actually the next time she saw him, she had already forgotten who he was. She just sat down to follow a new class, it was just a one time thing. She had heard great things about this class, it was about myths and the occult, it could be interesting to follow and study how people reacted to things like that.

She had settled down just in time for the class to begin, she had a recorder with her so she could write down everything she didn't get afterwards, her notebook was open and her pen in hand.

"shit!" Suf yelled brushing his teeth "no time" he forgot to set his alarm yesterday and cannot be late for this new class that took his free period in the morning. He hopped out in the flat corridor hopping on one foot putting on his shoes, a piece of toast was sitting in the toaster for him by Jeff or Keith.

He greatfully took it as he slipped his heel into the shoe, toast hanging from his mouth. He quickly grabbed his bag and shot for the college. The building stood at floors high with only 2 elevators and a whole bunch of stairs. He had 4 minutes to get to the 53rd floor in time for class and neither of the elevators were close to him.

"oh my lord!" he exclaimed, half eating the toast and sprinting up 53 flights of stairs. He half choked on the last bit of his toast as he came panting to the door. "Late on the first day of my class Mr Hussain, take a seat" the older woman, miss jackson, turned back to the board after giving him a stern look.

He sat besides Victoria seeing as in the only seat available was besides her.
