There are so many different styles and 'flavors' within the community, that surely with a little bit of digging (or simply a post in LFRP) you will find exactly what you're looking for here.

But I'm better when my characters are interacting with not just others OCs but they get better reactions when they meet another character I've created

An experience many of us a familiar with. But yeah, I frequently tell people RPR is one of the two friendliest websites I have ever found, and between the two, it's the one I favor. (The other is a writer's site that I haven't really been active on in a long time.)

Glad to hear. I honestly tend to shy away from RPing after a bit as it can feel nerve-wracking to join to a community full of people familiar with each other, but so far I feel pretty comfortable.
I am, though I admit I am somewhat struggling in terms of locating a roleplay that suits the character I created.
