Hey there. I'm going to keep this short and simple... I hope. Daniel here is a depressed, suicidal, and anxiety-ridden mess of a teenager and I'm looking for someone to make him realize there are positives in his very shitty world. If you're uncomfortable with those dark themes, I suggest departing as Daniel isn't a cheery, happy-go-lucky character. He's currently in a foster home and is a Junior in Highschool. He's quiet, easy-going, and is the type of person to put someone else's needs and wants before his own. He can be a dick at times, as he keeps his emotions bottled up which can solicit aggression from him, which is why he doesn't have very many friends. He's definitely misunderstood because, so far, no one has tried to dig past his mess of a life and get to the real Daniel.
He's looking for that one person who's able to make him happy and help him from drowning.
I'm open to as to what the plot is going to be and how our characters meet, though I do have a starting point. Your character goes to the same high school and can either be one of Daniel's friends already or we can start off with them being strangers. Or, maybe, your character can be a foster kid, too, and happen to end up in Daniel's foster family. That would be more of a 'forbidden romance' given the circumstances.
As for who would go well with Daniel I'm not sure, it's up to you, really. He's quite versatile and I can see him getting along with just about anyone after some time. Of course, he's better to grow closer to a more subdue and kind character quicker than he would to a brash, cocky character though I think that would be an interesting mix. They can be either more dominant or submissive, I don't care-- Danny boy is pretty much a switch.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to responses! This will have dark themes, though of course, it's bound to lighten up. I plan on it being longer and would like at least a paragraph as a response. I am a sucker for people who're detailed and lengthy, though. Reply here or message me!

Hey there I saw your post c: I'm interested, I too enjoy angsty depressed characters lol. He's a junior in high school I'm guessing he's around 17? I have a few teenager ocs i might be able to pair him with. I have Venice who is literally the embodiment of sunshine, and a master musician, or Tyler who is happy but would probably be more laid back than Venice. He is a baseball player, all around good guy.

Yeah, he's 17 going on 18. Venice sounds like a doll, though I think Tyler would be a better fit. Message me so we can talk about it more, yeah?
