I tend to day dream music videos in my head about my characters when listening to music. It's a daily occurrence for me, I know I'm not the only one who does this, But I just wanted to see if anyone on here does the same~
Everytime I hear the song Monster by Skillet I see my main guy Kyle getting ticked about something and beginning to go on a rampage courtesy of his second soul. Ami knows about that side of him as Flare was on the receiving end of one of them though it was controlled. Heh. Another case is to Indestructable by Disturbed in which I begin visualizing Kyle's battle hungry brother Alex just doing what he does best and that's hammering anyone who tries to stand toe to toe with him.
You most definitely are not alone! I've been doing it for years. Whenever a song comes on that could possibly work for any character or plot that's currently occupying me, I end up playing it over and over again as I compose a music video for it.
All this time I thought I was crazy for doing this.
As an animator, I make music videos and all sorts of other videos of my characters in my head. All the time. I have even had half a mind to draw them out... If it wouldn't take a year and a half of work, that is.
...I've never done this. o-o
I've daydreamed scenarios that my characters would have gone through with background music, like in a movie or something. And that was kinda rare.
Maybe I'm not so crazy afterall!

Oh saaaame, I also use that song to draw. And Sometimes I dream up new characters when I listen to new songs

Oooh, I get frustrated with Animation. >8T but yeah, I use music for when I draw and stuff.
