Hey^^ so I've resently got into poetry and thought tonight be a good idea (like I ever have one of those) to share one here^^. So uh... here you go!
"The page and me"
Sometimes I feel like the page is my only friend.
The only one
That listens without judgement
That doesn't push me away
That understands my story.
As my pencil glides across the page,
I feel a sense of understanding between us,
We are both lined by the error of our ways,
We are both byproducts of cultures that tare us apart and paste us back together,
To create there idea of,
Perfect.
The page,
Is all I can trust,
Is all that can save me,
When my mind becomes a raging storm,
When I can't feel anymore,
When I am alone.
Only the page is there...
But that's not so bad.
Right?
