blnk have you listened to twenty one pilots before?
Madame_Rose

Im into metal, Dragonforce is one of my favorites

I also listen to the entire Rwby soundrack over and over because its the best
There are too many. But here's one from each decade I like.

70s: Paul Simon
80s: Fleetwood Mac
90s: The Cranberries!
00s: Ace of Base (lol)
Today: Florence and the Machine <3
I'm watching this Florence and the Machine concert on youtube.
I love their lyrics...all so poetic, especially this one. So pretty.

"All This And Heaven Too"

And the heart is hard to translate
It has a language of its own
It talks in tongues and quiet sighs
And prayers and proclamations
In the grand deeds of great men and the smallest of gestures
And short shallow gasps

But with all my education I can't seem to command it
And the words are all escaping, and coming back all damaged
And I would put them back in poetry if I only knew how
I can't seem to understand it

And I would give all this and heaven too
I would give it all if only for a moment
That I could just understand the meaning of the word you see
'Cause I've been scrawling it forever but it never makes sense to me at all

And it talks to me in tiptoes
And it sings to me inside
It cries out in the darkest night and breaks in the morning light

But with all my education I can't seem to command it
And the words are all escaping, and coming back all damaged
And I would put them back in poetry if I only knew how
I can't seem to understand it

And I would give all this and heaven too
I would give it all if only for a moment
That I could just understand the meaning of the word, you see
'Cause I've been scrawling it forever
But it never
Makes sense to me at all

And I would give all this and heaven too
I would give it all if only for a moment
That I could just understand the meaning of the word, you see
'Cause I've been scrawling it forever
But it never
Makes sense to me at all

No, words are a language
It doesn't deserve such treatment
And all of my stumbling phrases never amounted to anything...worth...this feeling

All this heaven
Never could describe
Such a feeling, as I'm hearing

Words were never so useful
So I was screaming out a language
That I never knew existed before

Nothing beyond
Heathens

I stumbled across Waldkauz today on youtube! I Love This!
Rogue-Scribe

A trippy low-budget video for an excellent song that describes religion in general.

Oh goodness I LOVE music okay. Let me just drop some recommendations, since thats what we seem to be doing.
  • Twenty One Pilots (Emo, I see you listen to them- when the hiatus broke I LOST my MIND. I can't afford tickets for the tour but I'm crossing my fingers maybe I'll be able to snatch some up last minute)
  • Ghost Town (some of their music seems edgy and weird ("You're So Creepy" being one of those) but songs like "Universe" and "Hell" are great)
  • The Score
  • Hollywood Undead (saw them in concert a few months ago, in the very front. Got a guitar pic from Charlie Scene and J-Dog held my hand and I might've died that night.)
  • Pink Floyd (Brain Damage is gorgeous and Wish You Were Here makes me cry sometimes)
  • Blue Oyster Cult
  • Metallica is my literal LIFEBLOOD (im wrapped in a Metallica blanket as I write this)
  • Polyphia (Their instrumental songs are fantastic, great rock band. Champagne and Nightmare are two of my favorites currently)
  • Incubus
  • Muse (Knights of Cydonia is actually amazing and gives me chills; but the Exogensis Symphony is real art. Part 2 is my favorite of them all.)
  • Bad Wolves is AMAZING.
  • grandson is really fantastic honestly. They've got a lot of great songs and I really want to see them in concert some day.
  • Anything by Red, Three Days Grace (at least their older albums...), Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, 30 Seconds to Mars. I'm stopping now because I've already wrote WAY too much haha

Same, all I can hope for though is October 5th to come faster :)
Favorite Verses of Favorite Songs

"Anytime You Need A Friend"
By: Mariah Carey

((Mariah Carey used to have some beautiful lyrics back in the day))

"Anytime you need a friend
I will be here
You'll never be alone again
So don't you fear

Even if you're miles away
I'm by your side
So don't you ever be lonely
Love will make it alright"

"Beautiful"
By: Carole King

"You've got to get up every morning
With a smile in your face
And show the world all the love in your heart.

Then people gonna treat you better
You're gonna find, yes you will
That you're as beautiful, as you feel."

People Are Strange
By, The Doors

"People are strange, when you're a stranger
Faces look ugly, when you're alone
Women seem wicked, when you're unwanted
Streets are uneven, when you're down."

"I'll Be There"
By: Mariah Carey version of Jackson 5

"I'll reach out my hand to you
I'll have faith in all you do
Just call my name and I'll be there"

"I'll Stand By You"
By: The Pretenders

((The whole song, but some verses...just...so freakin' beautiful))

"Oh, why you look so sad
The tears are in your eyes
Come on and come to me now
Don't be ashamed to cry
Let me see you through,
'Cause I've seen the dark side too.

When the night falls on you, you don't know what to do
Nothing you confess could make me love you less

I'll stand by you
I'll stand by you
Won't let nobody hurt you.
I'll stand by you

So, if you're mad, get mad.
Don't hold it all inside.
Come on and talk to me, now.
Hey. What you got to hide?
I get angry too.
Well, I'm a lot like you.

When you're standing at the crossroads
And don't know which path to choose
Let me come along
'Cause even if you're wrong...

I'll stand by you."

"You've Got A Friend"
By: Carole King

"You just call out my name,
And you know wherever I am,
I'll come running, to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer or fall,
All you have to do is call,
And I'll be there,
You've got a friend."

"Tubthumping"
By: Chumbawamba

"I get knocked down, but I get up again.
You're never gonna keep me down."

((There seems to be a pattern. I apparently like songs about unconditional love. And Chumbawamba.))

PLEASE tell me someone on here listens to Faun and that I'm not a mega nerd with no friends, haha! They're a wonderful German band that does a lot of Celtic sounding stuff, with some Latin stuff in there as well.

*raises hand*

Me! me! Discovered Faun a few years back when a song of theirs came up on my Omnia Pandora station. I did a youtube search and found Faun on some Castlefest videos. I then went to their website and discovered their back catalog! I have to say I like the Elisabeth Pawelke era the best, but Katja Moslehner added a different dimension to their sound. See, I'm totally into them! You are not the only one Skrifa! And now for one of my favourite videos of theirs...

Or Rhiannon...or 2 Falken...I can't choose. ^-^ Ahhhh, so happy to find someone else to listens to them!

I do indeed! I find lstening to them while writing RP helps in my creativity! Anyway... hoping everyone doesn't mind me playing one of my favourite tracks of theirs. It is in Ancient Greek, and is a part of the Hymm of Gaia....
